I have a date-changeable ticket and tried to change the dates. They first of all said that there would be a fee for a layover, but then said that if I downgraded the ticket for part of my journey there wouldn't be a charge (and the charge would be cancelled). Instead they downgraded the ticket and made the charge. Customer service said there wasn't anything they could do about it. Will have to dispute the charge through my credit card company.
