Patronising, insulting, and unprofessional service
I had an appalling experience returning an item to END. I sent back a t-shirt via Royal Mail and had full proof: tracking, proof of delivery to their postcode, and parcel weight. Despite this, Jake, one of their customer service reps, repeatedly told me they had “no record of my order being returned” and that my tracking and order numbers “have not been scanned into their Returns logs.”
The way Jake and the team handled the situation was insulting. I was told to consider whether I had removed the item before posting, or even to report it as a theft thereby implying I had either sent back an empty parcel or was somehow at fault. Another email dismissed my evidence, saying it was “extremely unlikely” that their systems could have missed it, placing all responsibility on me instead of investigating properly.
Throughout the ordeal, I had to repeatedly request it get escalated to a manager to deal with and even open a PayPal dispute, before they finally issued a refund. What should have been a straightforward return turned into a stressful, demeaning experience where I was made to feel mistrusted and accused, despite having clear evidence.
END.’s approach, largely through Jake’s responses, was patronising, defensive, and completely unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering shopping here that if you need to return an item, be prepared to fight for your money and deal with dismissive, blame-shifting customer service. I will never shop with them again.
