Three gems

Over a month now Santander has blocked my business account. They blocked my account without warning. It has been a nightmare having to manage my business without access to my business account. The sent me a code to provide information. Unsurprisingly the code the did not work. The letter providing the code has a telephone number that is not manned. You simply cant reach anyone.
I have opened another business account but have my funds locked up with Santander. The also reject the switch. You just wonder how a bank like this is allowed to operate in the UK.

About 3 weeks now I have not had access to my business account. Imagine! I have direct debits bouncing left right and centre and I am having to cover this from savings.
Today I got a letter dated 08/08/25 -saying they blocked my account because they have been unable to reach me. They lied as I have no emails, letter or text messages from them. I have checked again, nothing!
In the letter they included a unique reference number that I am supposed to use to log onto a platform to input a 'full list of the details' they need before they can unblock my account. TELL YOU WHAT? The code does not work. I have a screen shot saying the code is invalid.
They are threatening to close my account, well, I am in the process of voting with my feet anyway. My only concern is when I will be able to access my funds.

I suddenly can't make any payment from my business account. This has been going on for a week now. My direct debits are bounced though there is more than sufficient money in the account. Can't reach anybody to find out what is happening. Chat (Sandi) is useless as unable to answer and question bno humN interface available. Absolutely useless bank. I am moving my account after all its no longer 'free' banking.
