Mein Deutschland Visum lief aus und ich buchte einen Flug nach Sao Paulo über Istanbul mit Turkish Airlines. In Istanbul ließ mich Turkish Airlines nicht in das folgende Flugzeug einsteigen und verweigerte die Mitnahme. Man ließ micht 60 Stunden im Büro von Turkish Airlines warten und verweigerte die Ausstellung eines Ersatztickets. Ich ging in ein Hostel in Istanbul mit 80kg Koffern, wobei mir beim Umsteigen in der Metro mein Handy und zwei Koffer gestohlen wurden. Da ich nicht durch Europa reisen darf, da mein Visum ungültig ist, musste ich einen Flug von Istanbul aus nach Brasilien suchen und konnte nur Turkish Airlines finden. Also buchte ich ein weiteres Ticket aber man verweigerte wieder die Mitnahme.
Ich verbrachte einen Monat in Istanbul und die Botschaft meinte sie könnten mir nicht helfen. Den dritten Flug buchte ich über Budapest und dank des Botschafters und einer Sondergenehmigung Ungarns durfte ich die Türkei endlich verlassen.

When I came to pick up the booked car from Europcar at Manchester Airport the guy in the office told me I have to leave a deposit of 39.000 Pounds or contract an additional insurance. Instead of 276 Pounds they made me pay 610 +700 Pounds. I disagreed for one hour.
Later they told me I would have asked and signed this change in contract, but they actually forced me to do so.
Be careful of fraud.

Europcar confirmed that they ask for a deposit of 39.000 Pounds (depending on the car model) if the car has not an insurance directly with Europcar themself. You need to contract an additional insurance with Europcar for any damage to their car of 16 Pounds a day if you booked the car on a third party website. A liability and car insurance with a self payment of 1500 pounds is not enough and they will not give out the car.
