Review of roadsurfer

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Don’t expect the Roadsurfer from the ads and website

We took a Roadsurfer camper van from Phoenix to Yellowstone. We did all the “roadsurfer homework,” watched the how-to videos and downloaded the instructions. However, the van we got was not the same one in the instructions and videos; it was a stripped down model without many of the features, including the touch screen, light system, microwave, cabinets, etc. Some of the equipment was not functioning properly, such as an air conditioner that never got cold, or a tire that we had to add air up daily. We tried to learn on the fly how to use the equipment, and attempted to contact the local Roadsurfer location, but had to leave messages that were never returned.

Dear Kim,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Depending on the location and vehicle type, the equipment may vary. We understand that this can lead to confusion if the camper does not fully match what is shown in the tutorials. Your feedback helps us improve our communication on this going forward.

We’re sorry if some technical features did not work as expected. Our vehicles are inspected before each rental, and such deviations do not reflect our standard.

Our customer service team always strives to respond as quickly as possible – however, during times of high demand, delays may occur. We are continuously working to improve our availability.

Thank you once again for your feedback – it helps us further improve our processes and communication.

Best regards from your roadsurfer team 🚎
