I started using Deferit a few months…

I started using Deferit a few months ago when I was juggling a couple of utility bills and needed some breathing room. I’d heard about it from a friend and figured it was worth a shot, especially since they don’t charge interest or late fees.

The process was super easy. I just uploaded a bill (in my case, my cell phone bill), and they paid it up front while I paid them back in four installments. I really liked that it wasn’t tied to my credit score, and there was no hard credit check, which made it feel less intimidating than applying for a loan or credit card.

Overall though, Deferit helped me avoid late fees and the stress of shut-off notices. It’s not a long-term solution, but for those months when things are tight, it gave me just enough space to get by
