Scammed and Abandoned – £960 Lost!

My mum had a horrific experience with Lovely Holidays UK and I feel compelled to speak out. She's in her mid-sixties and not very computer savvy. She trusted this company and had booked around 15 holidays with them in total — but that trust has been completely shattered.
She received a call from someone claiming to be from EasyJet who already had her booking details and asked for her bank details over the phone. When she refused (rightfully! The holiday had been prepaid in full!), her flight was suddenly cancelled without explanation. She only found out after travelling all the way to Bristol Airport that she had no reservation at all. Imagine the stress and confusion.
She lost everything — flights, hotel, the full holiday — a total of £960 gone.
And the worst part? Lovely Holidays refuses to take any responsibility. They keep telling her to “contact the airline and hotel” even though everything was booked through them. Why would a scammer have her booking info unless it came from within Lovely Holidays or through a breach in their system?
This was not just poor service — this was dangerous and deeply upsetting. A vulnerable customer was exploited, and the company’s response has been dismissive and unhelpful. It’s completely unacceptable.
Lovely Holidays: You’ve lost a loyal customer. My mum saved hard for this trip and got nothing but stress, loss, and disrespect in return. Never again. Avoid at all costs.

As mentioned previously, due to data protection regulations, we're only permitted to discuss or make changes to a booking with the lead passenger, and only after a series of security questions have been successfully answered. This is a legal requirement that we're obligated to follow as a company.
