Forget the noise!
In preparation for purchasing from Night Vision Guys (NVG), I did my homework—digging through forums, review sites, and end-user feedback. Knowing how ruthless the internet and the 2A and hunting communities can be, I took everything with a grain of salt. Now, I’m here to say: I’m glad I trusted my gut.
Last week, I ordered a unit from NVG. Before pulling the trigger, I scheduled a same-day, 30-minute call with Felix Teper, who answered every question and offered to hand-select tubes for my order. His customer service was stellar, but I stayed (healthily) skeptical until I had the unit in hand.
I opted for next-day air, fully aware of the 3-5 day lead time. Felix kept his word and promptly provided shipping info. The kicker? The unit arrived in just three days—before UPS even updated tracking! I was thrilled but stayed grounded. I still had to open the box, and see the specs for myself. I also still had to sneak past my beautiful wife-kraken, as I had not yet broken the news, the stitches still fresh from my kidney sale. Never fear, diamonds will make up for this debauchery. Still, there was credible intelligence that she might garrote me from the bushes as I crossed the threshold into the house.
When I opened the box—wow. The specs surpassed what Felix and I discussed, and the unit performed flawlessly. The so-called “idiosyncrasies” from online reviews were non-issues for me. The performance spoke for itself.
As a retired military professional still working in low-light environments, I can say with confidence: I’ll be a repeat customer. Felix, you and the NVG team nailed it.
