Telephone call to arrange insurance = no hassle with InsureandGo
I contacted InsureandGo, initially online, to arrange travel insurance for my mum for a Christmas shopping break to Europe. The website was easy-to-use, however the tricky part came when declaring a terminal illness. This prompted the website to ask me to call them to arrange a quote. "Cripes!", I thought, envisaging a long, tedious conversation with someone who simply reads from a script. I couldn't have been wrong. The agent who handled my call (I can't recall her name) was friendly and asked the necessary questions in a sensitive way. As I needed to obtain the answers to the questions from my mum - who lives more than 300 miles from me - I dialled mum on one phone so the agent could ask me the questions for me than to ask mum, and relay the answers to the agent. This took a little bit of time, as you'd expect. The result was the agent was able to offer a policy at a reasonable rate, taking into account mum's pre-existing conditions. The policy was paid for, and schedule etc received, in next to no time. I'll use InsurandGo for all my travel insurance needs in future.
