Packing on the first day went well although quite a lot was left for moving day. On the day, they arrived later than I was told to expect, I was then told we would be on the road to the new house before lunchtime but then one van was elsewhere completing a job so it was 2:30pm before we set off. Communication was poor (they set off without telling me, meaning they were then waiting for me at the new house). Unloading was quick (an hour total) but some items were placed in the wrong room (they assumed based on where they had been before but didn’t ask) and there wasn’t much consideration for what we would need access to in terms of how items were placed in rooms (one room we had to empty in order to be able to start unpacking). Our plants were fairly damaged, some books were bent and our bathroom unit had two legs snapped off the back - it was propped against the wall so I’d be surprised if they didn’t realise this was done when they put it there. Would not use again.

Thank you for leaving the review although we do feel that you have missed some key points...
1) You were moving out of a 5th floor flat in central Manchester without any designated parking. This resulted in an 8 minute delay due to finding a parking space - 9:08am arrival time confirmed on the vehicle tracker.
2) On the packing day (Saturday), we had planned to load 1/3 of your items in preparation for the Monday move. However, upon arrival, the only lift to your flat was 'out of order'. This presented a huge logistical issue in accessing the 5th floor flat via the stairs only!
As a knock-on effect of this lift issue, it meant that we had to load more on the Monday (once the lift was working), hence the 2:30pm load up time.
3) You have only made us aware of the damaged bathroom unit after leaving this review. Therefore, not giving us the opportunity to rectify this issue beforehand.
The removal team worked tirelessly packing and loading your items with the lift issues and the parking constraints making the whole process extremely challenging. Even with these obstacles, the removal was completed within the contracted timescale on the Monday.
We feel a 2 star review under the circumstances, broken lift on Day 1 and city centre parking, is slightly unfair.
