Incompetent
I inherited these guys when they took over a great company, Haly Oil. My new HVAC system had a manufacturer's recall so I called Shipley for service. The tech arrived without the part, noticed some water in the furnace drain pan, and "blew out" the drain. In actuality what he did was create a clogged drain rendering the moisture sensor useless due to significant water backup due to the blow out. This ordeal began in January with no resolution. However, they billed me $211 for the "service" which I have refused to pay. Since then, approximately every 2 weeks I get a call regarding my outstanding bill. I have repeated the story countless times and informed them that I will not pay until the issue is resolved. Groundhog Day. Every two weeks I get the response "I will talk with my manager". During the last 3 calls I informed that I will never pay that bill. Today I got a letter threatening to send me to collections. I will not pay the bill regardless. I was with Haly for at least 22 years with great service. Total incompetence at Shipley Energy.
