They collect a lot of your data. Not worth it

I signed up in the spring of 2025. You figure out right away that you don’t get chosen for many of the surveys you apply to. At first you could only apply to 3 / day but over the summer that number grew to 10. If you have a FT job, it seems like you get picked more often. Since August, I have been picked for only one study and that study never paid me, despite reaching out to support and the researcher multiple times. Now Respondent sends me listings like normal - to apply, you give them data about you. For almost 3 months, they get all my data but I am not chosen.

Nothing changed on my end except that I was laid off. These surveys are supposed to value your input and opinion. Now after applying for so many and being chosen so little, it seems a lot more like Respondent.io is just a data collection scheme. It’s either broken or it was always shady. Beware!!

Hey everyone,

I truly have NO IDEA about the scammer reviews. I went to the Apple Store and purchased a year subscription ($60 USD) and it looks like it will expire just like every other app with a subscription out there. While I have not tried to cancel it ( it is using PayPal so I am going to assume there will no issues there either )…. Arhat remains to be seen. Just saying it’s 4/2024 and as long as you get it through the Apple Store at least I think they have worked out that issue.

The app is amazing / fantastic! I started menopause in 2022 and put on 24 pounds in a snap for no reason. For 2 years I have been trying everything that always worked before and got exactly NOWHERE. This app is the perfect combination of : intermittent fasting ( with great info tips that explain to you what your body is doing during ) , calorie/macro tracking ( with a huge database and bar code scanner that adds food quickly), reminders ( reminding you to drink water, classes ( short little classes that help you learn about your food and habits ) and progress bars.

I lost .5 pound on the second day. I am down 4 pounds in a week and a half.

Nothing moved the needle for almost 2 years until this app came along. Hell we went to Costco yesterday and I got a hot dog and a cookie ( normally NBD) but that cookie came in at 750 calories. Their DB had many Costco cookies that were nowhere near that calorie amount but the app lets you add calories ( AND CORRECT FOODS IN THE DB. If the nutrition info isn’t right which I have done a few times now ). So right then I knew I was going to have to be mindful of having a small dinner and make an effort to get my steps in ( which I did ).

The ONLY problem I have had is their technical support - which is total poop. I was trying to buy their bundle that has workouts and recipes and the purchase kept failing. Over a week, everytime I tried. I reached out to their support. Twice over a week. The only thing I heard back was a note that my case was closed so I wrote them back saying .. ( Hey! No one ever responded). That got a response but then it was just miscommunication for 2 days after. Suddenly my app had the food/ workouts turned on but they didn’t know about it and then they were going to turn it off, etc….

If you can avoid having to reach out to Tech support I would recommend that. But the app is flawless, has no actual issues. Has helped me when nothing else would and was TOTALLY WORTH WHAT THE SUBSCRIPTION COST.
