Game changer in family planning.

I am so impressed with this family planner. We have had it a month now and it works flawlessly. The AI that can read emails and poster to add events to your calendar works brilliantly and it now gives us a total view and amalgamation of everyone’s calendar.

There are a few minor niggles on this like reminders as you can’t set an individual reminder for an event. You can only set it to remind you on every event in the calendar a set amount of time before it. I don’t want a constant notification stream for every event but something like when the bins are collected, it would be great to be able to set a reminder for the night before. As I said small things but I’m hoping will be functionality added in the near future.

All in all a fantastic bit of kit!

The food looks delicious however two boxes in and I haven’t been able to try any yet!

The first box arrived and granted it was a hot day but the internal temperature of the chicken dishes was 14-15 degrees. Considering it must be between 5-8 degrees to be considered safe, this is concerning. I bet the majority of people don’t even have a temperature probe to check which is concerning.

Giving the benefit of the doubt I ordered a second box as the weather is now cooler so I thought I may be safer to order. This time it was over 11 degrees in the two tests I did. Again miles over the 5-8 degree window.

On contacting the company you just get a generic “our packing has been tested and it’s safe until 10pm” type message… rubbish. If the food turns up and it’s warmer than 8 degrees it’s not safe. This means either a) it was not cold enough when first packed which is concerning or b) the way they package it is not safe and does not keep the food suitably chilled. I’m pretty sure it’s the later.

Anyway, it’s a real shame because I wanted to love this as it ticks all the other boxes but if it’s unsafe to eat then it can’t get more than one star. I’m sure a rep from the company will come on and say “it is safe and has been rigorously tested” but the probe doesn’t lie and it’s not a one off.
EDIT: since writing the review I have been really impressed with the response. I got a call where I felt they truly wanted to address the issue and felt genuinely about my experience. I have since had another delivery and the food was excellent!

Really wanted this to be a good product as a reusable shower bar and decent applicator was appealing. The applicator is good, well designed and the holder sticks to the wall as it should and is solid. However, the main part of the product, the bar of soap, just feels like a cheap bar of soap cut to size to fit in the applicator. The ‘neutral’ smell is actually just the smell of old fashioned soap and not particularly pleasant and the bar itself really dried my skin out, again exactly like old fashioned soap does.

EDIT: I recently went away for the weekend so packed the BOB bar to “use it up” and I have to say that over the course of the long weekend I actually changed my opinion of the bar so thought only fair to update my review. It did seem to lather up better than previously and after the weekend I did not find that my skin was dry as per my previous experience; actually the total opposite which was a surprise to me. I still would prefer a different fragrance, hence only 4 stars but I believe the company is currently working on alternatives.

I did a lot of research on different sofa beds and sofa bed companies before going with Cocoon and did so based on reviews and perceived customer experience. Unfortunately we have had nothing but problems since the order was placed and the overall product is very poor quality, especially when you pay £1800 for a sofa bed. First of all the delivery and customer service has been awful, chasing callback promises, promises being made by managers that never actually happen and I was still chasing 4 months later.

The sofa and bed is very firm, unless you like sleeping on extremely firm mattresses you will require at least a mattress topper. I expect they do this to elongate the life of the sofa itself but at the end of the day they sell themselves on the fact it’s a superior bed quality and that isn’t the case. Arms of the sofa bolt on at the bottom and this means they rattle. The spring mechanism makes a clunking sound when you sit down, which can be pretty off putting and can’t be healthy for the sofa either. Overall very disappointing. Do not buy with this company.

UPDATE: Cocoon’s Response : “your experience was not what we strive for” - in other words they know it was awful and did very little to help for months. “We remedied some of your frustrations” - No, not really - you refunded the delivery charge because I paid extra to have it dismantled and reassembled and your delivery team did neither and effectively damaged the unit in transit. To be honest the delivery charge was the least you could refund as I didn’t get any of what I paid for and the unit still is not right. As I said previously, avoid this company as it does not deliver a quality product despite the high cost price.

4am Bristol Airport parking.. arrived to find the height restriction barrier was too low and I had a roof box on the car so I got out and took the roof box off the car and put it in the boot of the car. I was on my own. They fined me £100 for stopping regardless of the fact that I had paid for parking on site and I was at the entrance to the car park. I appealed the decision and was told the typical computer says no answer of “there are signs up, you stopped, hence we reject your appeal”… what was I supposed to do in that circumstance? No common sense, this is just a form of theft.
