I’ve had numerous cars shipped with the top companies (Sherpa, Montway, etc) with much success and minor issues, but my biggest gripe has always been the lack of prompt communication. My experience with Esmee at Shipthatcar was a breath of fresh air in this regard.

My wife and I were traveling in Europe when her 80 year old mother had mechanical issues with her Subaru while 300 miles from home. She was able to get it to the closest dealership for the repairs but was told that it would take a week. My wife arranged for her transportation back to her home in Marble Falls, TX and I started researching shippers because we weren’t going to have her do another 600 miles round trip to get her car.

After getting numerous quotes I narrowed it down to shipthatcar because Esmee was so responsive , kind and professional with all questions and had real compassion for the situation we were in.

Long review short…she was awesome, the car was picked up and delivered as promised and my mother in law is happy again.

We heard about them through an acquaintance, checked their website then decided to go to the warehouse to verify. We ended up attending a live auction and it was so fun. We bought a few items for our home at very good prices. The staff were very helpful, kind and professional throughout the process. They delivered our items to our home in Tavira 4 days later and we couldn't be happier. We'll definitely go back and keep an eye on the webite.

I’ve used a number of different auto shipping brokers over the past 5 years as we moved around the country and have had varying degrees of success with each. I’ve used Sherpa, Montway and Shiply. While I understand that they are just brokers and not the actual transporters, most of my issues were with the broker not the driver.

We have been on an extended stay in Europe and needed to quickly return to the US to care for and elderly parent. The problem was that our car was being stored at a facility in Florida that has very strict access hours and policies, and, we needed to get it shipped to Texas so it would be available when we arrived there.

I requested quotes from SGT and the companies I previously mentioned and explained my situation. The only ones that seemed listen and address my concerns was SGT. Rich reached out to me through text to get more details about my needs and stayed in constant communication with me to address my concerns about the timing. We had a 6 hour time zone difference but that didn’t hinder our communication. He was always prompt, honest and concise with his communication and I really felt that he understood the situation we were in and was going above and beyond to help.

They communicated with the manager of the facility where my car was stored to insure the pick up would go smoothly and kept me updated of progress as we were readying our flights back to the US. Our car arrived on time at the scheduled location and we are able to be here for our family.

They charged a fair price for the service and I will be a repeat customer.

We’re working on our D7 visa for Portugal and Bordr has been very responsive, helpful and professional through the experience.
