Save your money... The cover on their policies are dismally low and not worth the premiums. We had a £4,500 vet bill for a knee operation, only £1,000 was covered, but to add insult to injury, they demanded the rest of the annual premium was paid (£650), so in effect we have received £350 for a £4,500 vet bill. They state that it's all set in the small print (apparently) - to their benefit, not yours.
S&P is the trading name of "Only Pets Cover Limited", who seem to have very little financial backing. Their last accounts filed were 2023, which show only £69k of cash in the bank and £500k of net assets, which seems very low for an insurance company. They have only filed the bare minimum micro accounts at Companies House. I wish I had reviewed their financial viability before I took out this policy. Maybe explains why their payouts are so low.

Hi David,
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns.
We’d like to clarify that Scratch & Patch is the trading name of Only Pets Cover Limited, fully authorised and regulated by the FCA to act as a Managing General Agent. All of our pet insurance policies are underwritten by Stonebridge International Insurance Ltd, a regulated insurer responsible for ensuring that all valid claims are paid within the stipulated Terms and Conditions of the policy. Stonebridge International Insurance Ltd is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority. Only Pets Cover Limited provides all administrative and customer service support, and is not itself the insurer.
To help keep our policies both affordable and sustainable, we apply inner benefit limits to certain treatments. These limits vary depending on the level of cover selected — with higher-tier policies offering more generous benefit limits. This tiered structure allows us to provide a range of options to suit different needs and budgets, while also managing the impact of rising — and currently unregulated — veterinary fees.
All of our pet insurance policies are annual contracts, with the option to spread the cost via monthly payments to help affordability for our customers. If a claim is made and the policy is then cancelled during the term, the full annual premium remains due, as the benefit of the annual cover has already been received. We are committed to transparency and always encourage customers to review the full policy documents and terms – which are also available on our website prior to purchase and at all times.
If you have any specific concerns about your claim or would like us to review your experience in more detail, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. We’re here to help: https://scratchandpatch.co.uk/contact/
I purchased a very large mirror for the ensuite wall, Park Glass were really friendly on the phone, the price was very competitive with online quotes that I had received and they delivered the mirror within a week. Very pleased with the service, would recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback David. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our services and look forward to the opportunity to work with you again on future projects.
Disappointed. I ordered exactly the same prescription contact lenses online, but this time I wanted to try a different brand as Specsavers had signed me up to the most expensive lenses they sold. At first they accepted order and took payment, then I got an email to say that they knew best and had cancelled the order as I would need to book an appointment in store to try a different brand (!!). They didn't trust me to make my own decision and try the lens at home. Let's be clear, they are IDENTICAL prescription, just a different brand. They said they would refund me, but I'm still waiting...
They are very controlling and seem to want to tie people to the most expensive brands and refuse to sell you another brand.
I bought the lens from a different retailer (Lens Store), no problem at all, they fit perfectly and have had no issues with them. I won't be returning to SpecSavers again.
