They charge £1 for an image enhancement then charge £29 a week later

This is another scam wherein you are charged £1 or the equivalent to sharpen up an image and then they sign you up for a subscription a week later. You get no email explaining this after paying the £1 and not even an email once they charge £29 to confirm your unapproved subscription. The UK banks won't help you so DO NOT use this con service.

We ordered a new harness for our little…

We ordered a new harness for our little staffy and it is top quality. We had an issue with the old one where the metal clasp of the lead could bang onto her back when we first put the harness on. The new BullyBillows harness solves that problem as it has been made as a quality bit of kit rather than the one we purhcased previously.

what a con, avoid this site

I put in my details and then spent 5 minutes waiting the page to refresh when it was supposedly finding me a loan and then it redirected me to a site where i could sign up and pay for my credit report LOL. What a joke:)

EDIT - Thet are now saying I was declined which is not the case. It goes to a generic page wfere you have to sign up for credit monitoring and input your bank details before you get near any decision.

Amazing customer service

I ordered a pair of glasses with three strengths combined in varifocals. I got the glasses and the distance was fine, the short was fine but in the middle bit the computer screen was out of focus. Si i got hold of customer service. They asked for a recent prescription print out which i got from Specsavers and said they would redo the glasses. I got another pair with the same issue and I contacted customer service again who explained how the glasses are made and how they are based on the exact figures on my prescription which made absolute sense. I then realised that I might need to go for an updated test at specsavers and that maybe that was why the glasses were "off". I asked what i should do to customer service and they offered me a full refund which i begrudgingly accepted. I feel awful that I have two pairs of glasses that I will never use and I have all my money back but their customer service and refund policy rivals that of amazon.

I am booked for Specsavers and will be wanting to know how i ended up with glasses that i could not use based on their prescription!

BTW the quality of the glasses from Goggles4U was amazing and I would highly recommend them.

Be very Careful

Be very Careful. They change prices all the time so you could end up spending £500 on an expeirence that is then half price within weeks. They also allow third party vendors to sell their gift cards and experiences at whatever price they want so make sure you don't get ripped off. I saw a £100 virgin gift card being sold for £126 on a well known catelogue recently.

It is free but loaded with ads

It is free but loaded with ads. I checked it out for a client and laughed when the app I ran off their site from the Appsgeyser conversion started asking me if it could send selling notifications to my phone. If you want to look like an absolute idiot, these guys are for you.

Do not sign up for their monthly fee, you can go to other sites a pay a foreign developer the same cost as their lowest monthly fee to develop an app for you and you will own the whole thing.

EDIT - cost me £20 to get app developed and submitted to the developer play store on Fiverr

I bought a template and got ripped off

I bought a template. AVG stopped the download as it had a trojan file in the zip package. I have worked in IT for 30 years. I asked for a refund and have raised a dispute. The dispute is not with the template monster but with the author of the template, and if I don't allow them full access to my system, server, etc, to troubleshoot, then I lose the right to a refund.

AVOID THESE PEOPLE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

EDIt - why do you lie, liar?

I have to wait 3 days to escalate the dispute to templatemonster, before then I have to deal with some bloke who developed the template who has nothing to do with templatemonster.

So your solution is that when my anti-virus warns me that there is a trojan file, I should turn it off and go ahead and run the zip anyway? You are mental!

EDIT2 - It is now 3 days later and I have escalated the dispute to Templatemonster and have been told that it will now take 7 days for a decision! What a joke!

EDIT3 - Now I get an email asking for my anti-virus name and if I can use another anti-virus. Yeah I only paid £120 a year for AVG pro package lol:

What an awful experience at the…

What an awful experience at the Eastbourne branch. I went to the big sign that said "click and collect" and waited cue with other people paying for items they had picked up in the shop. After 5 mins, I ask an older grey haired lady B&Q employee standing by the tills where to pick up my order; she pleasantly replies that she can help and does so. I told her it was difficult to see where to go with the sign, which does not indicate where to go. Another B & Q employee about 45 years younger than the one helping me with a nose stud and dark hair shouts in a passive-aggressive tone that the sign is above the tills because that is where they help people. I ignore her. I walk around the tills, and the older lady is physically struggling to move two large trolleys with various bags on them. My trolley has 3 bags of large compost and 4 sacks of cement mix (altogether very heavy). She cannot move mine, so I go over to help; by this time, the other younger B & Q employee is off the tills and watching the older lady struggle.

The trolley is almost impossible to manoeuvre, so I ask out loud, "How am I supposed to move this?" to which the younger employee says in another passive-aggressive tone that if the weight is evenly distributed over the trolley, it is easier to push. The packages were evenly distributed, though.

The charger is dodgy, can't be assed to send back. Soi fed up with the lack of attention to detail from CEX.

Absolute scum that charged for disabled parking. I got caught out as I am a new blue badge holder, I assumed that anywhere that had a disabled sign on the parking bay was free for a couple of hours. My 39-minute stay ended up costing me £85. Unbelievable!

By looking at the description and how…

By looking at the description and how to activate instructions I can instantly see whether I am being sold a key for the product, in the same way as if I bought it through a branded online store or if I am being sold some crappy key that I have to jump through hoops to try and get to work. Generally if I am looking to pay £2 for a £50 product then it will be the latter!

On this occasion I purchased two keys for DLC of a week known game, instead of costing me £13 each in the branded online store I paid £5.50 each through CDKeys so am very happy to save 50%.

Use common sense, don't expect to pay 1% of the standard item cost and you can save money and get the real product at the same time:)
