I completed a contracted project with Voices.com, delivering 1.5 hours of scripted audio with meticulous care. I double-checked every file, and even sent pre-recordings which were approved. Voices confirmed in writing that I was “good to go” and that payment would be issued within 30–60 days.

After nearly 90 days of silence, they suddenly claimed my recordings did not “meet requirements” and "They've decided they are not looking to source any revisions at this time" and are choosing to move forward with other talents on this project. They canceled the agreement without ever offering revisions or providing a single example of an issue. This is a blatant breach of contract and an attempt to avoid paying the agreed $425.

I'm so critical of myself and my work with everything that I do altogether. I am 100% completely confident that the recordings I sent were acceptable. Shame on them.

Freelancers beware: Voices.com will take your work, drag out the timeline, and then dismiss it with vague excuses to escape payment. If you value your time, integrity, and income, I strongly advise avoiding this platform.

This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. For 10 months, I have been trying to retrieve a few hundred dollars that was paid to me for work I completed.

I have emailed their customer support and reached out via social media dozens of times over 10 months, and no one ever responds.

Avoid Airtm at all costs. They are the worst company I have ever encountered, and it’s clear they have no respect for workers or customers.

Overall, the interview process was great. I appreciate the fact that I was able to pick the topics first. It made me more comfortable. I've always been horrible at interviews in the past. However, they have it set up so smoothly that I feel like I just completed my best interview I've ever had.

I can speak from my own experiences. I transitioned from another platform to Outlier about a year ago, and my experience has been positive. I'll squash a rumor now, which is that I’ve never had to worry about getting paid. My payments have always been reliable and on time. Additionally, the notion that Outlier is out to steal personal information is completely unfounded.
That said, I believe there’s room for improvement, particularly in the process of addressing contributors being unfairly removed from projects or banned from the platform without clear reasons. They get a notice on their dashboard to send an email to a certain email address where they are responded to by an automated system, 'Robot Ricardo.' No one even read the email that they were told to send. It takes away a person's voice, and that sets off a toxic, negative chain of events from the CB, and that's how rumors get started. I know if my voice was taken away and I, God forbid, lost my acct and the ability to defend myself, I'd be livid. I know that some individuals exploit the system, but no two people are the same. Everyone deserves a fair shot and should never be accused of doing something without being given a reason and a voice.
I remind myself that as an independent contractor, steady work isn’t guaranteed. I am very grateful for the opportunity. I learn something new every day, and there isn't anywhere else I've worked where I can say that. Working through the platform, I've been able to give myself a better life. I have been able to pay my bills, buy two cars, put food on my table, and keep a roof over my head, and I'll be grateful for that forever. I love the work that I do on the platform. They even provide webinars during the week and pay you to attend so you can improve the quality of your tasks. In my opinion, that's pretty awesome! I could not be happier. Additionally, yes, I was 'invited' to do this review, but I hold nothing back. I have always spoken my mind, and I always will.

I have been a member on their platform for two years and have been lucky enough to land several interesting research studies. Payout is easy and immediate if you use Revolut. I've never once had a problem getting paid. I've been paid within seconds of me clicking the button. It has been a very positive experience. And I would recommend it.

I think at first I was a little critical thinking "It was another survey site" but I was wrong. It is actually really nice. You qualify for most of them instead of getting non-stop rerouted. Also, it pays a lot better than any other survey site (of course depending on the survey being offered) and you can see right up front how much each one gives you in points. If you would get disqualified from doing a survey (screened out) you still get points for the work you did. When you cash out it goes immediately to your PayPal account. You can get extra points for leveling up on the amount of surveys you have completed. The surveys I have completed have honestly been really interesting. I have been a member for a few months now and I'm very happy and thankful I joined.

I'm so very pleased that I chose to go with Lighthouse. I was juggling so much between work and trying to find a new place on my own. I had no idea how to handle it all.
