A very pleasant buying experience

A very pleasant buying experience. They gave me £30 more because they misquoted one of my clubs. Nice to see honesty still exists.

A big let down

I have been using Redspottedhanky for a few years now. Really disappointed by the service I received from them. I purchased a ticket on Lumo from Edinburgh to London and was refused boarding because I was travelling with golf clubs because gold clubs are apparently a health and safety risk. No one goes to Scotland to play golf apparently. No problem whatsoever of travelling from London to Edinburgh on LNER. Redspottedhanky did not have any special conditions or restrictions attached to the ticket saying you could not travel with golf clubs. They tried to fob me off to the train company and the train company said they did not sell me the ticket. Redspottedhanky goes on about five star service but was not there in my time of need. I needed to then book with another train company and my travel was disrupted. Moral of the story they are they to sell you tickets and not there to help when clearly there was a duty of disclosure. They said call if you have problems but then said I had to write an email.

What an absolute farce of a company

What an absolute farce of a company. They prohibited me from boarding the train and would not let me travel with my golf clubs and said that my clubs would be against health and safety. Translation - we don't have any luggage storage and we have crammed as many seats to make more money. This company is owned by Stagecoach and is attempting to be the Ryanair of trains. Avoid at all costs. I had to book another ticket with another train company and was delayed for several hours. The staff were very unhelpful, there were no restrictions on the ticket and I was told I had to check the terms and conditions. I have never been refused travel on any train in the UK for luggage restrictions. Given the huge amount of negative feedback avoid avoid avoid.
