Unsatisfactory support to the customer…

Unsatisfactory support to the customer when a safety defect in the car should have been resolved by the extended warranty with minimal efforts.
The subsequent investigation and complaints process with VW has been extremely poor showing lack of process and customer focus in the methods and timings of handling the complaint.
They have consistently and repeatedly failed to achieve the contact timelines they set themselves and communicate poorly.
Only one member of the customer support team has actually shown any professionalism or interest.
The situation is still unresolved after nearly a month.
The only thing VW have done with any speed or focus was to challenge my initial review on Trustpilot in order to censor the criticism I presume .
If only they allocated the same resource and enthusiasm to customer support!

Unable to complete transaction Halfords IT failure

Unable to complete transaction due to Halfords error message when trying to log into my account. Telephone support was useless as they could not process order and apply discount codes.
Basically waste of my time.

Delivery as expected

Delivery as expected, all in good order

Only comment is that the notifiction of delivery times etc is not far enough in advance for me to react but then I only check my e mails once a day and my mobile is usually down the back of the couch, where it stays til it rings or goes flat

Service excellent and part correct in good packaging…

Part required was for a 2001 E39 BMW and ML customer support e mailed me to warn that there was an extended lead time and to ensure I was happy to wait and that as it was special order I had to be aware that it was not returnable if I had used the wrong SKU
I confirmed that I was just happy they could source the part and happy to proceed
They indicted an ATP of two to three weeks and gave me a link to their tracking system
In due course the part turned up well packaged and the correct fitment for my trusty BMW

DX tracking is very poor phone support useless

DX tracking is very poor. No real time updates on vehicle ETA at delivery address. Support phone line hold times in excess of 15 minutes
Their own internal support team could not recognise my delivery
It is now 15:30 and no word of whether the delivery will occur other than it is shown as "on vehicle ex Westbury depot at 08:00 this day"
As at 18:50 No delivery and no update from DX
Their tracking last update is still 08:00 on vehicle for delivery today!
Support line still not responding
What a useless company
No wonder they are reportedly in financial difficulties

As a Scotsman of course the fees "hurt" but I think its worth it!

We ran our own finances for years to avoid the management fees on basis that at the end of the day you own the final decisions yourself so why pay someone else.
However I got tired of keeping up with the task of running the numbers and increasingly realised that as I got older and retired I could no longer rely on salary income and time in the market i.e.>5years horizon to buffer any miscalculations.
Hence I accepted the cost of professional advice and after a fairly extensive "beauty contest" selected Schroders to provide our "comfort blanket"
So far we are finding their service excellent and we have gained great reassurance for our lifetime financial plan and can benchmark against my own efforts as we still of course make the actual spend/choice decisions but the supporting detailed underlying fund/investment work is done by Schroeder.
As a Scotsman of course the fees "hurt" but I think its worth it!

There was a fault on the Smith site that stopped my initial attempt to transact so I gave up but Smith followed up next day with an apology by e mail and a link to try again which I did and after that all went 100%
