**Title:** Buyers Beware of TyTy Nursery:Unhealthy Plants and Poor Customer Service
I recently ordered plants from TyTy Nursery (tytyga.com), and I am extremely disappointed with my experience. This company is scamming people by sending extremely unhealthy plants and then claiming they are healthy. When you want to return them, you have to pay for shipping, which has been a giant waste of my time and money. They are taking people's money and getting away with it, and they must be stopped.
The thornless blueberry and mulberry trees I received had no live leaves, and all leaves were dead upon arrival. The other three plants were bare without any foliage. This clearly indicates that the plants were already in poor health before shipping.
Additionally, the two mulberry trees, advertised as 6 and 7 feet tall, arrived as bare stems without any foliage. I expected healthy trees with leaves. The packaging was atrocious; all five plants had their roots tangled together, making it difficult to distinguish them. This is not the standard I expect from a reputable nursery.
I have attached photos comparing the plants I received from TyTy Nursery to those from other suppliers. It is misleading to sell these plants as three-year-old, fruit-bearing size. The leafless stems sent are unlikely to produce any fruit soon, contradicting their product description.
Their return policy and shipping information are difficult to find and seem designed to discourage returns. I refuse to pay for shipping to return these unhealthy plants. The experience has been a major disappointment from start to finish.
Here are the main issues I encountered:
1. **False Advertising:** The plants were advertised as three-year-old, fruit-bearing size, but what I received were bare stems with no foliage and no indication of being able to bear fruit anytime soon.
2. **Poor Packaging:** The plants arrived with their roots tangled together, making it difficult to distinguish one from another. This is not how a reputable nursery should package their plants.
3. **Misleading Website:** The website does not clearly state that plants might arrive without any growth. Normally, nurseries send healthy plants in planters or wrapped in a plastic bag with soil, securely zip-tied. This critical information was missing.
4. **Difficult Return Process:** Their return policy is hard to find and seems designed to discourage returns. I do not intend to pay for shipping to return these nearly dead plants, especially when their poor health is not my fault.
5. **No Customer Support:** Despite my attempts to reach out for a resolution, the customer service has not provided a satisfactory response. This is unacceptable for any business, especially one in the horticulture industry.
I regularly order plants and spend thousands of dollars each year on gardening. This was my first and last time ordering from TyTy Nursery. Other nurseries send healthy plants that are well-packaged and ready to thrive. I decided to try TyTy Nursery, but this experience has been a major disappointment.
I urge others to avoid this nursery. My experience has been a waste of time and money, and their customer service has not provided a satisfactory resolution. Be warned and choose more reputable nurseries for your gardening needs. They are taking advantage of customers and must be held accountable.
