Total Rip-Off. At my daughter’s previous school last year, a digital photo download (from Pret-a-Portrait), hi-res and suitable for printing, was less than £10. Therefore the £23 requested by Tempest is the very definition of a rip-off. There are no excuses they can make, it’s just price-gouging from parents who have no choice. I won’t be funding this company.

Hi Andrew, thank you for your review.
I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the pricing of our digital download. It is important to understand the nature of the product. You are not simply buying an electronic file (for customers wishing just to have an electronic memento, we would suggest the Image to Mobile product), you are buying it with the license release for unlimited printing/file sharing, so the more you use and share the file, the better value for money it becomes. We store the images in a digital archive should our parents not be able to purchase at the time the images are taken, and who may wish to have the opportunity to do so at a later stage.
We do offer an extensive range of various products, including multi-image packs and electronic downloads. However, we introduce new items on a regular basis, so hopefully there will be a product available in the future that meets your requirements.
I've been charged for an automated subscription renewal that I wasn't aware I'd been signed up to. Contacted support to request a refund and they don't reply.
There was no pre-billing email to inform me that charges were about to be made, only an invoice once they'd taken money without permission. I've checked all previous emails and nowhere does it suggest that renewals are automatic.
Response to Xsplit. I emailed the support email address on the same day I was charged, 22/09/24, but got no response. Every other subscription (Domains, microsoft, norton etc) provide an email to state that subscriptions are pending prior to a charge being made. This is how it should be done. Following your enquiry I have now been refunded.

Hi, I tried to look for a chat with you but was unable to find it. Did you contact us on the chat on support.xsplit.com or email support@xsplit.com?
We have never (literally never) denied a refund to anyone who forgot to cancel their subscription and we respond to all chats within 24 hours on weekdays (usually a lot faster). So it surprises me that you say you did not get a reply.
Regarding you not being aware it was a subscription. It's mentioned before you pay on the website, the next bill date is displayed in your account information. I will take a look at see if we can make it more clear.
Edit: Hi Andrew, I followed up on this one and it turned out your email ended up in the spam filter :(
Professional Email just stopped working after 1 month for no reason at all. Support couldn’t fix it and then requested that I provide them with my full login details, which would give them access to thousands of my personal emails. Make of that what you will, but to me it wasn’t an acceptable solution. Note that they did not suggest using remote access to fix things, where I could see what was going on, they wanted me to email them my login password.
I felt I had no option but to transfer out my domain and get email services elsewhere. A refund was refused despite their failure to provide a working service.
Hence zero stars for technical service, because it didn’t work, and zero stars for customer service as they simply didn’t care that they’d pocketed my money for nothing.

Hi Andrew,
I am really sorry to hear of the issues you have had. With any service there may be some downtime or disruption, however there should be no scenario where the service remains offline, if this was the case then a refund should definitely be provided.
I am sending out a request for more information, please get back to me with the email address linked to your account as well as any ticket reference numbers.
They want my car registration and mobile number to enable me to unsubscribe their spam emails. I'm hardly likely to give them even more information just to stop them emailing me.
