Great idea but print quality & durability is disappointing

It’s a great bottle with a beautiful image (Joanna Jinton special edition) and the sustainability and charity aspects are great. However, I am disappointed to receive the bottle today and seeing that the spray print is already coming off at the neck. Being used to quality of Yeti and Swell, this seems far too early on a new bottle for the paint to come off where it is thinly sprayed by the neck. I thought it was dust and more came off when I gently used my finger nail. Now I am worried to actually put it in my bag or car holder as it the image comes of so quickly that defeats the object for me to invest in a water bottle with a beautiful nature image. Shame. I hope they improve their printing process!

Disappointed - no longer waterproof as they used to be

The pair of their Telluride H20 “WaterproofPro” shoes I received were not waterproof. Worn only once in wet grass and they have clear patches that are not water proofed, and it comes through the seems. Result: wet socks. I had a pair back in 2016/2017 and they were amazing. You could hose them off with running water after stable mucking out and they were solidly waterproof. So amazing all year round. I don’t know what they changed in their production but these are no longer the quality they used to be. Disappointing.

I was not happy with the way the…

I was not happy with the way the company locks you into a subscription as it seems not at all transparent that this is what they are going to do.
I ordered some samples at a dear price. When they arrived (about 7-8 days later) I only just had the chance to try them the next day and decided that I really hated the stevia flavour and that its just tasting sweet and cocoa flavour. But on that same day I already got charged on my account for a reorder of the same stuff!

I was able to sort it out after some hassle and eventually after a few weeks I got my refund back and I also sent them back the products (both packages). I personally don't like to do business with companies that do not have transparent business practices. You don't need to do that if everything is ligit and you trust that your product speaks for itself. I much prefer mushroom coffee from LondonNootropics that has coffee and tastes of coffee plus has the mushroom benefits.
Sorry I won't order again as long as it stays so sickly sweet of stevia.

Scam forced monthly subscription without seeing it

I think this is a scam. I bought a natal chart for $1 and good value. Without noticing however they signed you up for a monthly renewal and just charged me £30! After cancelling it under settings from the website app, there is no way to speak to staff it seems just an AI chat bot and there is no way to receive a refund for a service that has not been used. I would be cautious with this kind of business scheme.

Deteriorating quality of bed linnen

I purchased two sets of brushed cotton sheets and pillow cases for our single and king size beds. However when I took them out of their packaging and washed them before use, as I would do with any others. The way they came out and after a short drying cycle was as if there were already used for 10 years. Bobbles and fluff everywhere. It was so disappointing as John Lewis' brand is a lot more durable washing and the bobbles only form after more usage and can be remedied by a remover. The fact that these were new and at a similar price to the ones in John Lewis but not ever able to withstand a normal cotton wash is really frustrating and feels like a waste of money and a deterioration in quality. I remembered buying a sheet from them 4 years ago and I didn't have that problem then.

My order never arrived, and never got a message to my cancellation and refund request

I have ordered a kettle on the 15th of December 2023 and noticed I made a mistake and the product wasn’t as it appeared described and on the advertising photographs. I immediately tried to contact them for a refund.
I wrote to them as you could only co tact them via email. This I did twice within two weeks and both times received automated email that my case would be dealt with in the next 7 days.

Since the last email to confirm my order I have not heard from them. I never got a message, a refund or indeed my product!

Now what happened and why is it such poor service for such a big well known company?

Very disappointed. I would not recommend to anyone to buy from their online website.

I just received the wrong product

I just received my product. It is the wrong stuff! I ordered supposedly from their website 10 sheets of Silent Coat (the brand, which was even pictured in the right branded box and the bubbled sheets); sound deadening self-adhesive sheets. It's not from silent coat and it was 20 sheets half the size, the quality is not as good as from Silent Coat or Dodo. I just weighed and compared them, the non branded ones are definitely thinner and less weighty by 80 grams per sheet (257g vs 337g per equivalent sheet size). I am so disappointed. What a waste of money and looks like fraud!

I was contacted by the company a week later apologising and saying that I should have been called by a member of staff to tell me that they were having supply issues with this particular product. And that the sheets that were set out were from the same factory in China just non-branded. He said they should have called to explain this and offered me the non-branded ones (instead of the Silent Coat Sound Deadening mats that were advertised and paid for) and not just sent to me. Also the invoice that was in the package, with the non-branded (non-air bubbled mats) still was saying Silent Coat sound deadening mats - no indication that this was not it! So if someone didn't know the product already, they would just think this was what they got? It is still a bit of a mystery to me. Either way, I did get contacted back and I did get a free return ticket, free pick up and my refund. Hence, I may have just been unlucky with this particular product at this time and have upped the stars from 1 to 4.

Don't buy - material is a lie

Update 01/09/2022: The company contacted me and claimed the mistake is via the Chinese factory as they would not know what the correct material specification is. It still isn't clear if it is the material mix shown on the sales website or not, since the label attached said "100% Polyester" and not the advertised silk, cotton, viscose mix. They have nevertheless offered to refund me the full amount, after the return label never arrived due to 'issues at their end', and offered me to keep it. I am grateful that they sorted it, and I will give the piece to charity. Hence I am revising my review from one star up to three. It was still all a big hassle.


I just received today my long awaited long kimono after a friend recommended getting one there. I wanted a cotton one initially but also realising most of them seemed polyester (which i hate in terms of feel and smell) so I definitely didn't want to go for one of those and had to deselect quite a few from my initial selection. I finally settled on one that said in the advertising detail "Material: Cotton, Viscose & Silk Mix". What arrived was even labelled: "100% Polyester"!!?? So how is this Cotton, Viscose and Silk mix? It is awful. Plus they don't describe how the sleeve have confusing two holes in different places which does not at all make it easy to get in and out of. But the fact about the materials, which was my main reason for buying is really really disappointing. And now it will be a huge hassle to return/refund as this is coming from China. I am really disappointed and do not recommend this company.

After waiting the international arrival the photo clock is not working!

Unfortunately after the product finally arrived after a few weeks and well packaged, the photo clock that I ordered keeps stopping working. It clearly doesn't seem to be the batteries (I tried various fully charged), but the mechanism. For nearly £30 this is too much that it now doesn't work and the hassle to return it abroad, international shipping, is not great. I would want to find something in the UK next or go to a Happy Snaps shop.

Shell BackPack - Wait before you buy

Shell BackPack - WAIT BEFORE YOU BUY:
I have just received last week the Shell Backpack after 7 months of waiting (ordered and paid for through kickstarter in November 2020), it arrived on the 22nd June 2021 in the UK.
I like the backpack and all arrived, however, the product is not quite as it is in all the video adverts and social media - I got a Shell Backpack with a massive VELCRO STRIP on the laptop pocket inside, that should have had the two Magnetic Fidlock closing system. This was a main selling point for me. I do not like velcro at all, it doesn't last long and it catches on your merino travel and sports clothes, esp. if you were to want to access it standing up and not laying in down and unzipping the entire thing! (If you don't mind this, then great, but others here talk about the magnetic fidlock system on their laptop pocket/sleeves, so I don't know how many people may have received the product with a velcro laptop pocket instead?).

I have contacted them to understand how this happened and if the backpack could be exchanged. I have not had any response from them back yet. I sent another email to find out if there is anyone to talk to. The only contact option seems the support@tropicfeel email, there is no phone number, nothing else to try to speak at least to a human to get this sorted.

I would possibly even buy a second one, if this got sorted, but I am seriously hesitant now esp. seeing some other bad reviews now online too. How does one go about this?

This is false advertising and cannot be right for a nearly €300 backpack with all the additions and extras purchased??

Regarding your issue, long time ago, before the backpacks were produced and shipped we informed our backers that after testing the product we would change the fidlocks for the velcrom because the fidlocks was not what we expected and our product team decided this was the best decision. Nothing arrived

Nothing arrived, not the full refund was received either. I ordered something on 24th December - now on 14th January nothing arrived. I spent £64 and only £29 got refunded saying that the parcel was returned. In fact I ordered two products and I got two notifications that DPD would deliver them (separately!) but neither had arrived. What's happened with this company? Seeing all the bad reviews - how can they have a 3.8 rating?? Still waiting for the response and the rest of my money...

New Product Lines Markedly Reduced in Quality and still are very Expensive!

I didn't realise they changed ownership! Not only have i received many items now that are manufactured in China (some seem to be manufactured in Cambodia) but also deteriorated greately.
I have various items and jumpers that are about 3-4 years old that still look amazing and like new. However, 2019 and 2020 product lines (the various oasis lines, vertex etc) are shedding wool like they are falling apart, with increased pilling and seams are less sturdy and starting to fray. In short, after only a few weeks limited wear it looks like from years of wear. My old ones now look newer!
I contacted customer service and all they said is that I can return them and get a refund and then purchase a new one. They gave me also a 15% off code. While other website are now offering at least 20% or more of their website price, this is no good to me as the products in question (260 Oasis long sleeve half-Nightfall, M; and Apex Chute, curry - which were the worst amongst my many products) were no longer available on the main website. I am very disappointed. I have so many products and it is basically a scam to part with thousands of pounds to get a new wardrobe based on the trust in a product and brand that existed before to notice that it is not worth even half their prices. They used to have a good resale value. No longer.

This is regarding their wool throws…

This is regarding their wool throws that is described by their suppliers as "100% Shetland Quality Wool" which upon probing is misleading as it is not from Shetland sheep but is New Wool from sheep in Britain or a Balkan country - therefore not the same as Shetland wool. Shetland wool has a different quality and yarn thickness in general to general wool. This is misleading and should not be advertised in this way. Otherwise their purchasing and shipping process went very smoothly.
