AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Be very careful. I was told my problems and queries would be dealt with but nobody ever followed up my account situation. After countless emails back and forth I received the below email over 5 weeks ago:

‘Hi again Steven,

The support team are away at the moment so it has been difficult keeping up with this. From our side we can still see the refund was processed as shown on Stripe. I really do apologise for the time this is taking, I know this is not ideal. I will keep you posted its just we are away on a business trip so it is taking longer than usual.

Please let me know if there is anything else 🙏’

Unfortunately it seems like the business trip mentioned is still ongoing so it must be a very detailed one. I am disappointed that customers are just forgotten about when they have a query and I am left helpless with my tax situation not dealt with.

I never thought this would happen to me. Be very careful. People who are not writing bad reviews must just be exhausted so much with their constant back and forth emails that they must not have time to come on here and do it.

One day it’ll maybe get sorted.

Amazing, unmatched service!!!

Adrian at Decorwraps provides sector-leading customer service. He is so polite and efficient and nothing is a problem. His team on Instagram in customer service is also exactly the same. He came with a large amount of samples meaning we had plenty to choose. He even sent me samples out to give me time to think. We went for a premium sample which he installed and it looks unreal. We are so so impressed and could not speak higher of our experience with this company. Make sure to use them!

Please be very careful - not good for those living in Scotland

I am deeply sad to have to write this review based on excellent recommendations from friends of Tax Scouts. I have unfortunately been one of the ones who has slipped through the net and write fully genuinely in my experience.

I started as a sole trader last year and was confident in wanting TaxScouts to take care of my self-assessment process after the great recommendations. I paid the affordable fee and everything was asked for by my accountant who was very friendly and efficient. He told me based on all my info that I was due a rebate of £700, which was great.

Everything was submitted and I was delighted. A week later I received a letter from HMRC saying I owed them £800, which is a different of £1500 compared to being told I was due a rebate. I was so shocked and panicked by this and tried to get in touch with TaxScouts and my accountant.

Unfortunately the chat service was poor and I had my chat ended by the adviser mid-conversation. I emailed my accountant who got back to me saying that he had in fact made an error and made my assessment based on English tax, and not Scottish tax, since I live and work in Scotland.

I am heartbroken that this process has gone so horribly wrong and that despite all my information being given quickly and accurately that such an obvious error was made. I was given my fee back but what I have been left with is more stress and worry over my next steps. I have no idea how to resolve this and go forward with HMRC, Or even where the correct information lies. It has made the process of being a sole trader very traumatic and I really just need to express this here. I would advise people to be very wary if you are applying from
Scotland, as they seem not to manage the tax rules for those based here. I think this company is more suited to those living in England.

I work in education where big errors in mistaking information like this can be detrimental and I am so sad to have been the one affected and left with this mess to clear up. I have no idea what to do and the intention of this company making things less stressful has just not happened. It has made thing wholly worse. Please be very careful.

What an amazing experience!!!

Although I had applied for a claim two years ago, the team at AirHelp always kept in touch and continued to work on the case. It was won this month and I received an amazing payout. I am so so impressed by the professionalism of the team and how clean and fresh the interface of the dashboard it. Many companies should learn from this way of working with customers. Thanks too for the lounge passes during the last few years too. So impressed!

An awful experience from start to…

An awful experience from start to finish. I ordered from you as it was a site that advertised specific delivery dates (for Easter Sunday). Made a large order of over £40 and it was delivered two days late. When they arrived the flowers were noticeably wilted but I was harshly told that the management team inspected and their opinion was that they weren’t wilted. I have left the whole process really aggrieved and alarmed that a company would allow customers to give their money for such a horrid outcome. I was also told that dates for delivery are discussed in the small print. If this is the case do not advertise so obviously that delivery can be done by a selected next day delivery date. Just so sad.

A surprising and disappointing outcome

We have to say firstly that we were really happy with the wooden herringbone flooring we had installed at the end of November 2020. It really does look great from the outset.

Unfortunately we are disappointed to have experienced little to no after-sales service despite paying a lot of money for the work we had done. Unfortunately we noticed that finishing is not 100% on the flooring and at the edges we noticed some poor edges. We were told that the edge of the wood against walls and other edges couldn't be completely and perfectly straight, which we do completely appreciate, however there are some areas which are completely uneven to a large degree.

We are respectable customers and did not want to cause any unnecessary situation, however after phoning about it to see if anything could be simply resolved for this I found it extremely impossible to get any help. Emails were left unreplied to, and after multiple phone calls trying to get someone to help I was notified that I was 'low on their priority list'.

Eventually I was told I could have a door bar to cover the area that was so obviously badly finished, which I really did appreciate and of which I was very grateful. Upon going in to pick this up I was however asked to then pay (£15) for it, which I was just really saddened and disappointed by after having paid a few thousand pounds for the flooring.

It seems that if workmanship is poor that maybe a kind gesture could be given on such a small amount of money, however this was not to be the case. I run a design and interior blog and have been surprised to encounter this experience for the first time ever. Just be careful when considering to make your purchase if you are expecting to be receiving a full customer experience from beginning to end.

Thank you for your review Stevie and we are sorry you felt the need to leave a poor review one year after your installation especially after the glowing review at the time.
The situation of the gap at the stairs has arisen as you have now changed your carpet which has a different depth to the one you had at the time of our installation. The solution to fix the new gap between stairs and carpet without renewing a section of the floor was to supply you with an oak L trim. You were delighted with this, however you made it clear when you came to the shop that your were saddened and disappointed to be charged £15 for this. Its a shame that this small cost to fix your problem has caused your disappointment after a job you were so happy with a year ago.
