Absolutely shocking - USE ANYONE BUT THE AA
Absolutely shocking. Took several hours in 1 degree centigrade weather with no engine, source of heat, jumper or coat to be recovered AFTER initially waiting an hour for someone to turn up, not actually look at anything but make me upgrade my plan to get recovered. They charge you £49 for making any change at all (evening upgrading!) at the roadside just because they have you over a barrel. That excludes the cost of the actual upgrade... I was in actual pain due to how cold I was and made to wait from 20:30 to 12:30 in total.

Hi Edward, we'll always look to have someone with you asap. We'll assess the car, and if recovery is needed, we may need to arrange this separately. We ask our Members to make sure the correct level of cover is held when joining. Upgrading when already broken down for the on-demand service will incur a charge, this is so it's fair to members already paying for the service. We hope you're OK and managed to get back home safely.
