UPDATE: Avoid at all costs!
UPDATE: I had wanted to leave this as it is but after seeing a TikTok where he’s playing the sympathy card and saying all these reviews are false and basically calling us out for being bullies etc. I had to update mine. I am not a troll, I am not jealous and I am certainly not misinforming people of my experience etc. All what I stated below is TRUE and like myself, many others have had the same experience. We have come on here to warn others of what has happened to us and for other people to be weary of placing an order, but everyone is entitled to do what they see fit.
It’s easy for people to come onto social media and claim things, but look at the bigger picture…any negative comments are removed/filtered to paint a picture of all being okay.
Since he’s made this TikTok people have only then started to leave positive reviews and to me that speaks volumes!
All of these negative experiences could have been avoided if he had actually took the time to reply to people, refund them or provide the product! Lessons should be learned here if he really wants to continue with the business.
Absolutely shocking “service”. I use that term loosely as no service/goods have actually been received. I ordered on 4th March and had waited a week or so before contacting Nathan at BioSkyn Soaps asking for an update on my order. I contacted him via his contact form on the website and waited over a week and had no response. I saw on TikTok he had done a video updating saying he was having issues with his website not directly linking up to print postage labels with the Royal Mail so had to do this all manually. I appreciated this would be a big task to do as one person so waited a bit longer. Another TikTok video was done to say orders were caught up and had all been sent out, still hadn’t received anything after this update. I again tried contacting via his website and still heard nothing. Another TikTok video apologising for the delay etc. Royal Mail had lost them and that orders were being re-sent out. We’re now into April at this point and well over a month since ordering with no communication from Nathan other than some videos on TikTok. I was getting frustrated at this point, purely from the lack of communication other than some TikTok videos, which were removed due to all the comments he was receiving from people who hadn’t received their orders. He then does a TikTok with his email address on asking people to email him directly and he will sort. Great I thought I might get somewhere, no, again emails went unanswered. By the way we are now into May at this point and still had no communication about my order. He then does another TikTok with his mobile number to sort out the people who were still waiting on their order. So I’ve contacted him via SMS and WhatsApp and still no replies! Now I’m a patient person and fully understand being the sole person to run a business, you’re gonna get backlogs etc. especially when your TikTok went viral, as only so much you can do each day. But if you were that swamped with orders, why accept new ones?! The priority should have been with sorting out all the backlog of orders that people hadn’t received.
I think it says a lot from the amount of people who are in the same position and have had the same experience, who do not know each other, so would have nothing to gain from this (contrary to what he has posted on TikTok).
I reached the end of my tether after seeing other people who were in the same position as me and were getting nowhere and I contacted my bank to get the money back.
That was my last resort, but I feel I was left with no option other than to do that.
I did not mind waiting for my order, but what I did mind was the lack of communication/customer service and albeit what began to appear as lies about the orders.
This review is based on my sole experience and 100% honest.
My advice for anyone in the same position, contact your bank! For anyone thinking of using BioSkyn Soaps, I would avoid at all costs!
