Terrible service and extortionate pricing
Having noticed digital warning indications and problems changing gear, I took my late 2019 Volvo V60 to be the local dealership whom after running their diagnostics advised a complete replacement of the automatic gearbox. This would all come at a cost of shade under £10k..!!! The vehicle has been fully serviced by Volvo, has 45000 on the clock and in otherwise great condition. To be fair, the local dealership seemed surprised at the extent of the work required and approached Volvo UK for a contribution to be to the work required - initially, they advised a nil contribution available which I found amazing given the extent of the work required and the age etc of car. After formally complaining to Volvo UK they eventually contributed 10% (excluding VAT of course) of the repairs costs and the local dealership reduced their labour costs. I was still left with a bill of over £8,600 and given I needed the car back had no option but to pay the ransom, given alternative garages could not assist. I would avoid Volvo like the plague and will never buy another one after this disgusting episode.
