Best backpack and life time warranty

Osprey is the best backpack and outdoors gear company, hands down: Their backpacks are super comfortable and well thought through. I have used their 85 litre pack for 20 years for serious mountaineering. Can easily carry 30kg+ without feeling it. Best of all, their customer service and life time warranty are really one of a kind. My 20 year old backpack has started showing signs of wear and tear and they replaced it with a new one, no questions asked. The only thing I wish is if they could expand into other product lines. We need more companies that produce high quality products and stand behind their warranties

Rented a car from Sixt Vancouver…

Rented a car from Sixt Vancouver downtown for a month. After I returned the car, they charged me an additional amount which was not related to any accidentals. I already left their office when I saw the charge. When I repeatedly emailed them about it, they said they have recalculated fees and taxes which led to an additional amount. This is a big scam. No basis for the charge. Have been renting cars in Canada with Dollar, Thrift and Economy and it has never happened to me. Avoid this company.

Avoid AVIS especially in Quebec

Avoid AVIS especially in Quebec. I declined extra insurance as I have a global insurance. After I returned the car, they charged me extra after I already left the counter. I wrote an email and they said it was for the insurance (which I declined)! This is fraudulent and I think Consumer Bureau should be investigating such companies.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. I booked a car through them to pick up in Munich airport. The voucher stated that a rental car company person will meet me at arrivals. No one was there and the company did not pick up the phone. I ended up getting a car from another provider paying triple the cost since it was last minute. Have complained but it is taking over 1.5 months and no resolution. Avoid

I bought a ticket I found on Skyscsnner…

I bought a ticket I found on Skyscsnner that was offered by another broker. Sadly the airline has cancelled the flight and the broker was being very difficult and unhelpful in refunding me the money back. I contacted Skyscanner as last resort. They got involved and stayed on top of the case until I got the refund back. Was great to see a professional and understanding customer service. The representative who was helping me was Rob. He was always very polite, understanding and helpful. Made the whole process human.

Fantastic customer service - quick efficient and super helpful! You don’t need to speak to anyone on the phone and be on hold for hours. Even the most difficile questions can be dealt with by email. Purchased Rab Firewall Jacket

Purchased Rab Firewall Jacket. After just a couple of months, the fabric started 1. bubbling up on the outside losing water resistance and 2. having internal mesh bubbling up and tearing in places of contact where you would have a backpack strap. When I sent it to be repaired under a life time warranty, I was told the fault was related to the way I wore the jacket and that I should review how I wear it which made no sense at all. I wore it for multi-day trekking (not city walks obviously). After many emails back and forth, they still refuse to fix it at no cost. I had jackets from Mountain Hardware that lasted 10 years with no problems. This is definitely disappointing and indicative of quality deterioration in Rab. Would not recommend this product or company for serious trekking

Absolutely horrendous experience

Absolutely horrendous experience. 1. They charged me 180 euros for a small scratch that must have been there before (I had no accident) and did not have pictures to prove the state of the car before. 2. During my rental, the car had a problem. I called the emergency number and after being on the phone for an hour, was told to send photos of the issue to whatapp number and that they would call me right away. They have NEVER called me and when I called back the number, they did not pick it up again. If you are stuck in the middle of nowhere with 30 degree heat, that’s a problem. They are irresponsible. 3. I made a change to my reservation extending the time of return. When I made the change, their agent said there was no extra charge since I was returning it still earlier than when I picked it up. They just charged me 20 euros for an extra day even after I showed them all the docs! I should have read the reviews before. Would never use them again and would think twice what you would do if you had an issue with the car!

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Spent 1 hour on the phone waiting for a representative to get a refund for my cancelled flight only for a representative to hang up on me. Also their website contact form does not work! For all the “optimistic” message by the CEO that they hired more people to deal with customer enquiries, the reality is that their customer service is horrible. Would never use again!!!

Awful experience, looks like fraud

Update: I have since got a call from a representative who was able to rebook my flight. I am glad they auctioned it but still disappointing that you have to write a bad review to get things moving. Hope things improve from here on


Awful experience and likely fraud involved. Cannot get a hold of the travel agent. Due to CVD, I had to change my flight. They sent me the “changed” itinerary except that flight does not exist! This is fraud and I will be referring them to ATOL and ABTA.

The response below from Netflights states that I am rebooked on another flight from a different airport; however all of the confirmation numbers I have do not work on Netflights or the airline site. So having paid for a flight, I have no idea when and where from I am flying or returning and I have yet to get any response from Netflights on my query. I would have preferred to get the person responding to my feedback below to spend the time responding to me directly to resolve the issue versus spending the time on responding to my public complaint first. If you could sort the issue well, it would be more effective and would prompt me to revise my feedback versus making me feel even more frustrated.

Sadly this is where booking directly with the airline would have been 100% better. So far all of my flights booked directly with Ryanair, BA or TAP which were canceled due to CVD-19 have been dealt with professionally and in timely manner.

I have just had a look at your booking and since you made the change with us, your airline has changed their schedule and they no longer fly from the airport you booked which unfortunately is out of our control.

You can see these details if you log onto the airlines website and view your booking, but we will also pass on to the relevant team. I do know they are currently working in month order and with yours not departing until later in the year, this will be why you have not heard anything from them.
