I recently booked accommodation via Booking.com which qualified for a free taxi. When I rang to book it the Booking.com call handler & his supervisor agreed I qualified for a free taxi, but reported the ‘taxi team’ declined my request on the grounds I had booked through a ‘third party’, even though no evidence was provided & they couldn’t tell me who the ‘third party’ was. I made 4 phone calls to Booking.com, one of which lasted for 45 mins & still no satisfaction.

I wasn’t expecting an easy ride as last time I booked accommodation through Booking.com they denied I was entitled to a free taxi too, but after some perseverance, in the end they honoured it.

This is very bad business practice & I won’t be booking through them again!!
