I was genuinely disappointed and tried to resolve the issue directly with them, but it was not satisfactory. I have been a customer for over 20 years and, with a large family, I am a regular customer. I had just bought a cake, but the frosting lacked sugar and was just tasteless grease. Many people tried it, and we felt the same - not even finishing our slices. It was so bad that we had to throw the cake away, and at £45 with postage, that's unacceptable, and a sign of poor quality control. Yet I was happy to resolve this with Customer Service as mistakes happen to even the best of us. They offered a £10 voucher, but nothing on their site costs so little, so they wanted more of my money. I would have appreciated some cupcakes - but no. So, I don't recommend Patissarie Valerie any more. So sad. This is one last chance to resolve it. Finally on the 2nd Sept after showing them this review, Patisserie Valerie sent me free cup cakes which had sweet frosting. As I wish them well, so I have changed my rating fron 1 star to 3.
