I bought a shed from Shire in 2023 and had it constructed by a reputable company. As the shed is five-sided it has a smaller water run off (fall) than a traditional 4 -sided one with an apex roof. At the beginning the fall was enough for the rain to run off. However, in Spring 2024 the roof started to leak. It was apparent that the beam on which the roof sits had sagged and the fall had become insufficient, rain water then pooled on the roof leaked. I had to get the shed fitters back and they fitted a thicker, wider beam. This pushed the roof up to increase the fall and there are no more leaks.
I contacted Shire about this issue. The did not accept that there was a weakness and design fault with the beam originally supplied. They refused to reimburse me for the costs incurred for the remedial work, or the inconvenience and stress caused by the leaking roof. As has been commented by many other people Shire’s customer service is non-existent. Clearly they have too many complaints to deal with and prefer to ignore customers, rather than address real and serious problems with their products. I can only hope that by writing this review any potential customers will avoid this company as, should they need a help from customer service, they won’t get it.

I bought a greenhouse, shelving and staging from Vitavia Greenhouses in 2015. One of the legs/ connectors on the staging broke recently and I emailed them to see if I could purchase replacements. Robbie wrote back within 30 minutes and said he would check if they had the spare parts in their warehouse. He came back again and said they did and he would send them to me. I asked for an invoice so I could pay, but he said they would supply free of charge.
I have to say that this is exceptional after sales service that I really appreciate. The loss of staging at this time of the growing season would have been a huge problem and Robbie and the team at Vitavia Greenhouses saved the day. Many thanks to all of you.

Have had travel policy with Alpha for some years. We had to cancel a holiday recently due to a health issue that made travel impossible. The claim was handled efficiently and speedily settled.
