FLOOD DAMAGE

FLOOD DAMAGE! I am on the same spot. I left my car at Park By the Ports on 12/19. The Parking lot flooded a couple of days later and I was never notified. I arrived on 12/31 at 9:00pm to find the car sat there wet for a week, grew mold inside and now I have a huge issue as my insurance will not total the car, and are only doing minor repairs. After this my 20K car won't be worth half of that at best, not to mention the major issues I am certain to have with it.
The issue is - the Flood is an Act of God and no one could have foreseen it. But If I HAD BEEN NOTIFIED i would of immediately moved the car to the dealership 10 miles away and had it opened and cleaned and that would of been the end of it. Rather, it sat there and molded for over a week, and all that humidity seeped into the door sides and the dash, causing major damage to my car - but because there isn't a "water line" in my dash, the insurance won't total it. On 1/1, when I went back to get the car towed, I asked why I was not notified - it I was told they were instructed by their layers not to contact people. By doing that, people were not given the opportunity to take action. Those 8 days my car sat wet, closed in the heat made all the difference. I would absolutely join on a class action law suit. I had JUST purchased my car and this is going to represent a huge financial loss for us. The actual Flood happening is a Force Majure, but choosing not to notify people of the incident, to me, is pure negligence.
