Terrible customer service!

Very poor, dismissive and borderline insulting "customer service". I ordered a beef burger from a local restaurant that was supposed to have 2 patties, per the menu, but the burger that arrived only had one. I was hungry and working hard and only noticed after eating most of it. The unhelpful person at Deliveroo customer service was unwilling to help me because I didn't have a photo of it! Does everyone take pictures of their food these days? Do they have so little trust in their customers? I'm a busy small business owner and have better things to do than lie about how many patties were in my burger!

Rip off airline!

We were unable to check in online in Italy for our return flightvto the UK despite numerous attemps due to some website issue. Despite this we were charged an outrageous €48.00 each to check in at the counter in Fiumicino. The counter staff person was rude and unpleasant. Avoid this airline if possible.

Outrageous fees for late check in

Outrageous fees for late check in.
We were unable to check in due to an issue with the Wizz Air website. Despite this the sullen woman at check in made us pay €48.00 each. This is grossly unfair.

Great travel experience!

Great sailing experience overall. Somuch nicer than being cramped up into an airplane.
TIP: It's really worth the £24 to upgrade to the Club Lounge, which was really nice with great views, good food and drinks included!

Reality 1- Hype 0: Terrible customer experience!

After all the good reviews and massive hype around Starling Bank I am genuinely surprised and disappointed by the poor experience I have had thus far. I currently have a business account with Metro bank, but decided to give Starling a try for my new business venture.

I had already completed the onerous application process (lots of excessively long and detailed questions) via their mobile app. After ID, endless questions and all the usual company formation docs, the app then demanded I provide FURTHER substantiating documents such as signed agreements and trade documents which are not relevant to a startup, at least not mine.
This was at the beginning of the week, and have until now (Friday evening) had NO feedback from Starling despite phoning to inquire - my call required me to hold for at least 40 minutes before I at last managed to get through to a human being, who told me that they would be in touch "as soon as they could".

The phone app is just saying something to the effect that "our team is carrying out checks and will be in touch".

My patience is worn out, and I suspect I will go back to Metro Bank, whose signup process was MUCH simpler, and who are not perfect, but actually pretty good.

Top class service

Really good, the consultant at MCE called to remind me thta my insurance was about to expire and he was patient, friendly and helpful. He was also happy to run a couple of different scenarios on his system to see how they would affect my premium e.g. keeping my bike in London vs Northampton, etc. Top class service!

Beware!

Beware! NINO Apply is charging £40-odd to provide an unofficial National Insurance card which is no longer issued by the UK government. HMRC now just send you a letter with an NI number. They also refused my request to cancel my order and refund my money.
