Good quality and prompt delivery

The shirt and shorts were delivered quickly, were good quality and will look great for a Hawaiian party. I ordered a size which turned out to be too large, but they offered to replace both for free, which is excellent customer service. Highly recommend.

Proceed with Goldcrest with caution

I paid for a full survey which I duly received. A year later we raised an insurance claim for water ingress which was refused on the basis that the extension roof (which we inherited) was leaking as a result of bad workmanship. On review of the Goldcrest survey to see if we had missed something, we were deeply surprised to see that this flat roof (a pretty important part of the building…) was not even referred to in the full survey. After some to-ing and fro-ing with the proprietor of the firm, I engaged a property litigation Partner at a specialist law firm to assess my ‘case’, who told me (unfortunately) that while there was a very strong case for litigation on the basis of this significant omission, it would cost me much more to take to Court than I could ever recover, and that these cases nearly always result in settlement i.e. it would cost me even more than it already cost me to repair the damage. Most surprising was an e-mail received from Goldcrest which said, and I quote, “we have a record of fighting court action to the limits, resulting in an abortive action and huge legal costs being borne by the claimants.” In 20 years as a Director/Partner in professional services firms, I have never encountered such a bizarre veiled threat from a so-called professional services firm, let alone one who admits to a record of Court cases !
I have learned my lesson. My advice to any potential client of Goldcrest is that if you intend to use this firm, please be extremely diligent in reviewing any report they provide for completeness, or cross your fingers that they haven’t missed anything, as they will attempt to wash their hands of responsibility later, if my experience is a reference point.

We are very sorry that you feel aggrieved about not being able to recover costs from us. However, as mentioned, our surveyor took photographs that were in the report that showed the ceilings below the flat roofs and there was absolutely no evidence of stains/dampness that would have indicated the presence of roof leaks at the time of our inspection. So the leakage that you have experienced must have developed since after your Survey Report was prepared. Kind regards, Gold Crest.

Andy has been a great personal trainer…

Andy has been a great personal trainer for me. We do 2 sessions of HIIT a week and he's alway really attentive to my progress, adjusting and calibrating the sessions to ensure I'm always getting the greatest benefit, even at times when I'm feeling below par. On top of that, he's a really nice, friendly guy, and each session is very enjoyable (even when he's exhausted me !). Highly recommended.

Absolutely no taking of any ownership…

Absolutely no taking of any ownership for my order despite the purchase contract being between me and Toolstation, NOT their suppliers. Purchased goods because they explicitly indicated 'within 7 business days...' in the marketing, on the order and also on my invoice. 9 days later all I got was (paraphrased) "...I can raise a ticket, but the supplier is off over this period and won't answer until 3rd January". I'm very sorry Toolstation, but if you'd like a Customer Service training session on at least 5 examples of poor service here in my very brief interaction, I'm happy to do this for you (I'll do it within 7 business days of course), but if the nonchalance and disinterest in your agent's voice when I spoke with her is representative of you as a company, I'm pretty sure you won't really care about this feedback.
