Great service and a great price.

I discovered an old VHS video tape from the 1980s when clearing out the loft. The process of sending it off to Digital Converters was ridiculously easy. I opted for the Cloud storage solution so that I could share the link with anyone of my choosing. The quality of the result is amazing!

A little underhand I feel

I've just used Avanti for a third time as the online purchase process is very straightforward and their prices appear to be competitive. So, why am I marking them down? Because they sent me a marketing letter with a discount code of 20%. I missed the reference to T&Cs because it was written at the very bottom of the letter in tiny, tiny text. They gave me a discount of only 6.5%. So much for customer loyalty and not having made a claim on my previous two policies with them. I just dislike underhand marketing. It verges on dishonesty.

I've just read the Avanti response. People travelling to,say, the USA will pay a higher premium than people travelling to, say, Europe. The USA bods will therefore get a higher amount off for the same discount rate. They're having to pay more so that's absolutely fair. And even after the discount, they will still be paying more. I don't see the difference between that and some poor soul who has to pay more due to ill health.

Discounts and offers only apply to the base premium of your travel insurance quote and do not apply to any medical screening costs or optional extras, where relevant.

To treat all our customers fairly we cannot discount the cost of the medical as this is a different price for everyone and would be unfair of us to discount as some people will receive a higher amount off of their policy than others.

A mixed experience

I was disappointed to have failed 3 times to purchase a railcard through the website, simply due to technical problems apparently. That is always extremely irritating. However, a quickly answered call to the support centre connected me with a very helpful and professional agent who enabled me to purchase a card immediately. I don't mind so much when things go wrong as long as there is efficient support when it does.

Professional and Honest.

I was greatly impressed with the professionalism and honesty of this company. Another local DPC specialist had told me that a large amount of re-plastering was necessary, (increasing the cost significantly), whereas the Peter Fox surveyor, (Chris Fox), informed me that was completely unnecessary. That level of honesty is truly refreshing. On the day the work was carried out, Triston turned up and carried out a thorough and professional job. No mess was left behind, and had I not enjoyed his company so much I wouldn't have known he was here.
