Review of Findmypast
I’ve recently cancelled because I don’t have enough time to justify the membership cost. Searching is sometimes less easy or fruitful than other sites and the merge process is difficult to manage. When I need a document attached to multiple people it should be easy to do. I need a way to export all the docs on my tree into a file on my hard drive, or into my offline software. With 500+ people on my tree, doing that by hand, piece by piece is not going to happen. If you can develop a piece of offline software the automatically syncs to your site, that would be great. I only research a few weeks a year so a yearly membership is not cost effective for me. Thank you

Thank you for your review of Findmypast.
Unfortunately one of the limitations of GEDCOM files (which is the standard filetype for family trees) is that they are text-only files and so documents you have attached on Findmypast will not export when you download a copy of your tree.
However, there are some programs you can use which link into Findmypast and we will be in touch to discuss this further with you.

Great parking area and rates but be sure to take a screenshot of the barcode for checkout. There is no cell reception in the garage.
