The ombudsman services are completely…

The ombudsman services are completely incompetent or worse still corrupt as they are funded by the very companies they deal with complaints about thus meaning they are not unbiased and independent. I was told to complain to the ombudsman by a solicitor who said she was certain they would find in my favor thus avoiding the hassle of going through the courts ect. So am completely dumbfounded that the so called officer who dealt with my complaint decided against me. Wouldnt pass my case to a senior officer when requested so I have now made a complaint about this person for what good it will do as I'm sure the rest of the ombudsman services are just as corrupt

Hello. The providers that are signed up to our service have to pay a case fee for each complaint that is taken to investigation. This is to cover the costs of looking into the case. However, it does not sway our decision. This case fee also keeps our service completely free for consumers to use.

If you're unsatisfied with the decision and choose to reject it, you are free to pursue the matter through other avenues, such as the courts. Thanks.

Incompetent and dishonest

Went into a 3 store for an early upgrade and was signed up to a new contract without my knowledge so had both contracts running for over 2 years before realising I was paying for 2 contracts. Was told it was possibly my fault for not checking my bank account but times I did when I saw a direct debit from 3 come out thought it was for the contract I was aware of. Only realised recently as I have changed providers after they wouldn't give me a good deal on an upgrade despite been with 3 for 10 years (got a far better deal with a new contract from a different supplier) and saw a 3 payment still been taken out of my bank account despite not been with them (or so I thought) the new contract was set up on a new account rather than my existing one so had 2 contracts and 2 accounts and received no communication at all about one of them which is another reason I didn't realise. I spoke to customer care on live chat was told I would receive a full refund. Was messed around for 2 weeks then told the payments team had declined the refund request cos the contract in question had been cancelled (cancelled by the customer care person I spoke to on live chat) and told by a manager the decision was made and couldn't be reversed unless by head office. Told they would send me a letter of gridlock so I could take my complaint to head office. Letter arrived telling me to go straight to the ombudsman. Absolute arrogance of a company I used to hold in high regard and would possibly have went back to when my current contract runs out. The non UK call centre operaters and management seem to be completely incompetent. I've already saught legal advice and my brother in law works at the EE call centre and he said 3 are completely out of order over this issue. As I said I believe the call centre to be run by imbeciles and am certain if the 3 head office had looked into my complaint they would have found in my favour but have been passed straight onto the ombudsman. If I could have gave no stars as a rating I would. See 3 got a £250,000 fine In 2014 for poor handling of customer complaints. Think it's about time for another fine.....
