I’m absolutely disgusted with b and q.
I ordered some mirror sliding wardrobe doors in April. I had them stored and kept in the packaging for 3 months until I got around to building the built in wardrobe that they were going on. I didn’t want to open the pack and risk damaging the doors.
Anyway, I built the wardrobe and when I opened the doors, one of the mirrors was cracked, it was cracked on the inside the glass side, so seemed like it was probably done in the warehouse before packaging. Or who knows when, but it definitely wasn’t me.
I rang b and q up and was pleasantly surprised that the lady on the phone understood my issues and why I kept it packaged and issued a swap and said they would pick up the old and drop off new.
So I waited 3 weeks, had one message a few days after the initial call saying they would let me know when delivery would be, but 3 weeks went by and nothing. I phone them today and was told the order was cancelled and that the delivery wasn’t happening because it was passed their refund window. This was news to me and I hadn’t been told, I was waiting for a delivery, yet the delivery had been cancelled.
Now I have cracked mirror door that I can’t do anything with and a wardrobe with no doors.
I’m absolutely disgusted with them. A company that big being like that, the doors only cost £170, that was a fair bit to me, but to them it’s nothing. Also it’s only one door, they could sell the other one on, as well as the rail and the fittings.
I won’t be using b and q again, I’m so angry with them.
