Martin Green, exceptional Financial Planner

We have worked with Martin Green via initially Chadney Bulgin and recently with Fairstone Wealth Management Ltd. He has always been open and honest with us, guiding us along the way from when I was employed through to my retirement. I have found him accommodating, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. Dining room furniture not delivered.

We ordered a dining room table and 6 chairs plus a dresser on January 6th 2022. The sales person said that the items were in stock and that delivery would be Wednesday 16th February 2022. We arranged to have our existing dining room furniture taken to a charity shop on Wednesday 9th February so we could have the carpet cleaned prior to the new furniture coming. The furniture was duly taken and then we received an email that due to undetermined reasons our furniture will now not be delivered until Wednesday 2nd March. No explanation as to what the problem was. We rang customer services who were unable to tell us what the exact problem was, just that the delivery would not be made. We have sent an email to the managing director who has not even had the courteousy to acknowledge our email. We have family coming to stay this week and have no dining table, no chairs and no means of seating them for any meals. It's an absolute shambles, you are told that the furniture is in stock, then informed that they can't deliver on the due date with no explanation as to why.

Ordered new roof for our gazebo

Ordered new roof for our gazebo, was originally informed that it would be after the 1st of June but the item turned up early and in good condition.
This is our 4th roof and we have been pleased with the service we have received to date.

WE were informed that our parcel would…

We were informed that our parcel would arrive between 14.07 and 16.07 on Wednesday. We were in all afternoon, no delivery.We then received and email at 15.46 to inform us that they had tried to deliver our parcel but was unable to. No reason given as to why they were unable to deliver it. We rang the Yodel depot in Farnborough and was informed that the delivery would be made today and that we would receive an email letting us know the delivery time. No such email arrived. When I arrived home at lunch time there was a card informing me that the parcel was behind the refuse bin.

Treated as if I were a con man.

I claimed for a stolen bicycle and then it all kicked off.The way I was treated was, to my mind, as if I was a con man or a criminal. I had forgotten to include in my claim history two small claims from over 2 years ago. I had completely forgotten them but I was informed that because I had not told them about these claims, which came to approx. £450, my insurance was being suspended whilst I was being referred to their misrepresentation team to see whether they were going to take on my insurance or not. In the meantime I would not be covered nor could they tell me when the misrep team would make a decision. The situation was not one I was happy with. I was told that the only way out of this was to ask for my claim not to be processed and then cancel the policy which I did. Went onto compare the market and completed the online quote, included all my claim history including the stolen bike and got a like for like quote for less than L&G had been charging me.
