I am a fraudster now...

so I have registered with Sainsburys in 2022 and I have placed an order online back then and since then I did not have to use Sainsburys at all. Today, March 2025, I decided that I need something from then, went on their website, had my password reset, tried to log back in with the updated password and had my account blocked. Rang their customer services and was told that because I haven't shopped at Sainsburys for 3 years I am now considered a fraudster and will need to register a new account with a different email address because their systems have now archived my email address indefinitely because they think that I am a criminal. Not a problem, I have said, will shop somewhere else...

Review of Angling Active

Delivery charges are not refunded

I had to return an item for a refund. The company refunded only item's price excluding delivery charges. When I rang them to find out why I was not refunded the delivery charges I was told that it was because the item was successfully delivered to me. The company refused to take this further. Their returns policy does not reflect that delivery charges will not be reimbursed.

As per Citizen's Advice website: "If you paid for standard delivery when you bought something, the seller has to refund this if you return it". Somehow this rules does not apply to Angling Active.

Review of Moss Bros.

DO NOT shop here... EVER

I went to my local store to buy a suit for a dinner. Last time I used Moss was about 10 years ago and I remember that I was absolutely happy with a service received.
How wrong I was this time…

1) Constantly pushing sales on you; the first thing I’ve noticed was that the staff were pushing sales on me all the time. You either need to buy right here right now or buy to reserve or buy and then wait for deliver but either way – you need to buy right here right now;
2) Forceful consent to marketing - When I paid for my items I was asked for an email address. I thought that this was for an e-receipt so I provided my email address. I have received the e-receipt to my email address and at the very top of the receipt there was a line saying – “Consent to marketing: YES”. At the time of sales no one had asked me if I consent to anything so I asked about this section and I was told that this is automatic. Later I discovered that apparently there is a tick that needs to be ticked by Moss’ sales clerk to allow marketing emails to be sent to my account. The store clerk has enabled the marketing emails without even asking me!!
3) Majority of items are out of stock in store, for something you like you need to pay and wait for the item be delivered otherwise you need to buy what you do not like. Delivery to store is free, delivery to a home address is for a charge
4) A hired suit takes 3 weeks to get delivered to a store. Apparently, that is because a suit is coming from… Scotland. Really? 3 weeks to get something delivered from Scotland when it takes 5 calendar days for an item to arrive from China? Staff are just lying all the time;
5) The offered suit was dirty;
6) Refused to sell shoes – a pair of shoes that I wanted was not in stock. I was offered another pair of shoes just to see if the size fits me. Although I did not like the shoes, I decided to buy them. At the till the shoes ended up costing more than the same pair on display. The ones I was expected to pay for have had a new price tag affixed on top of the old price tag. I won’t be surprised if the store clerk quickly affixed the price tag before they brought the shoes from the storeroom. Either way, when I questioned why is there a price difference we ended up in a heated conversation after which the store clerk said to a person behind the till - “cancel the shoes from the order. We have rights not to sell to you if we do not want to. Customer is not always right. Cancel the shoes.” No wonder I IMMEDIATELY requested a refund for everything I purchased

Also, when I asked for a refund and a member of staff was processing the refund, I was asked about my home address and my mobile phone number. When I asked for how long the data will be kept at Moss’ system I was told – “It does not matter, it is data protection”. The staff are using terms that they do not understand. When I refused to give my mobile number, I was told that I will not be given the refund.

When I asked what is the phone number for customer services, I was told that there isn’t one because of COVID.

This is all non-sense. Moss Bros = crooks and liars.

Verdict: awful, no dignity, customer service per se does not exist. They collect data about you without your consent. Hopefully they are going bust!

Rated at 5*

I did award 5 * to business before and I will still award them 5 *. The only thing I'd like to be improved is communication. For example, once I placed an order and the very next day received an email saying that it is NN's birthday and they are offering a discount. It was a no-brainer for me to cancel my existing order and place a new one and buy even more. But unfortunately, no one picked up the phone after I tried to ring several times and no one responded to my emails either. I just received another email later notifying me that my order has been despatched. Since then I am very careful in placing my orders with NN as I learned that if I'd want to cancel for any reason I might not be able to do so. On a positive note - I suggest you try their Cookie Milk and Gravy Rings range - as one of my mates has said after trying Lemon Meringue: "This is THE ****" And I could not agree more...

Thank you for your review Alex, we must have been busy that day and sometimes we don’t get to emails until after orders have been sent out. We’ll do our best to get back to quicker in future.

I like NomNomz.

I like NomNomz.. For start I was buying their one shots for DIY mixing but then bought some liquid when they were on sale. And I was hooked - Grimm's Nectar, Peanut Butter, Strawbe to name the few. Great frequent discounts and occasional freebies in post. You gotta love NomNomz! But there is still room for improvement - for example responses to emails are virtually non-existent and phone is not always answered...

Nothing but a rip off

I support everyone else's negative comments and urge you to stay away from HealthShield (HS). It is just another rip-off business that does not do what's expected from them. I was introduced to HS as part of my employer's benefit scheme. Initially I was thinking of changing my plan so that I start contributing towards my plan rather than having it paid by the company. So smart of me I did not do it and rather decided to try claim for a small amount first. It was just a waste of time. And even after I submitted all of the requested documents in form that HS required them, HS were coming back with yet another ridiculous reason why not process the claim. And believe me - they will pick up on anything, no mater how absurd it is. Treat them just like another insurance company, whom you trust your money and they'd do anything not to pay you back. I have now asked HR to take me off HS. Avoid HealthShield like a plague - statement supported by proven real-life experience that HealthShield is nothing but a rip off.

EDIT: HealthShield, you would fool no one. "help us to understand if a claim is valid, therefore if information is missing" - there was absolutely nothing missing, you have had an invoice from an official establishment with clinic's address, phone numbers, stamp and my name and UK phone number put down by practitioner and my signature. Details about about clinic can be found on Google, clinic can be reached by phone or Viber, validity of clinic can be easily confirmed if reqiuired. There was nothing to be concerned about. Now, some comments from emails sent to HS support: "When making a claim for the dental benefit the following information needs to be endorsed on a letter headed or stamped receipt from the practitioner and sent with your claim: -

Name of patient, date treatment was received, reason for charge and amount paid" by Stephanie. All of this was provided. Even more than was asked for.

For everyone else - here is the best example that describes HealthShield's attitude to customers. I hope this would help you to make right decision and stay away these awful and obvious scammers.

Brand that delivers and exceeds expectations

I was recommended this brand by colleague of mine. I fell in love with modular set configurator available on their website as it is possible to put together headset based on frequency response, musical taste, etc. I placed an order and received rather interesting box. Put headset together and loved sound from first second I listened to headphones. And that is considering they were not burnt in! But sound quality exceeded all expectations. I then ran into small issue with my ear pads and contacted customer service who offered resolution in no time. That is - no fuss, no going back and forth, no need for me to justify anything. Just customer service that exceeded expectations. Will I consider buying again? Yes. Will I recommend the brand? Yes. Will they exceed my expectations again? Can't comment on that but my gut feeling tells me "yes, yes, yes..."

It was amazing experience

It was amazing experience - I ordered Mass Effect Trilogy for PS3, thinking I'd get a single disc within 3-5 days, as advertised at checkout. But 3 discs arrived the very next day. Also shopping experience was a breeze - can pay by PayPal, can use vouchers. Although, I don't think that 1.50 for delivery on each disc is justified - would like fixed price on delivery if ordering multiple discs.
