Carwow provided good communication throughout the sale process but the issue is with the dealers.
I provided a very honest description of my vehicle, good quality photos of all the angles requested and the final auction price was acceptable. However, when the dealer came to collect, they then questioned a few minor paint abrasions on my 10 year old car. They then revised their bid price down by £1,000 !
I refused and they then increased their offer by £500. I initially again refused but then to avoid further delay and effort on my part, I reluctantly accepted.
I think these dealers just bid on cars to secure sole access and then talk down the price since by then the seller has little option left.
Carwow should monitor the auction selling price against the final price and then ban any dealers that repeatedly settle on a lower than bid price.
