Bought the Huawei 5g cpe pro 2, locked to 3. Condition A, came in exactly that condition, like new in box. Delivery was spot on. It was fully updated firmware wise. I have been using it for a little while now and I have a SMARTY 5g SIM in it which gives fantastic speeds.(unlimited everything for £15) I live in an area with apparently no 5g, however this picks it up and gives an average download speed of 500mbps, upload between 15-30mbps, ping is between 20-40ms. Getting the position right is the most important thing with this, even the orientation of the router affects the signal. I'd say once 5g officially comes to my area the speeds will increase further. Wi-fi 6 on this is amazing, provided your devices support it. I can say that the non WiFi 6 devices still get incredible speed and distance off this router. I haven't tried any other sims in the device to check if it's actually locked to 3 as stated. I can say however that the Huawei ai life app reports the device as unlocked, which if it is would be a bonus. I've experienced no 5g dropouts as of now, like I said, it's all about the position of the router that counts, when you get speeds you're happy with and it's consistent, leave it alone and enjoy the super download speeds. The router has options to change APN settings, DNS settings, vpn settings etc. There is port forwarding, however depending on the network you use, this may not work. I know SMARTY use a cgnat which prevents port forwarding. 3 however have an APN which allow port forwarding. For those interested, I get moderate NAT type on Xbox which I was worried about, coming from an open NAT, however there is no lag or issues at all, for me anyway. Same goes for Steam gaming or switch gaming, all perfect online. Streaming services are fantastic on this, no buffer or grainy picture anymore. Openreach is the only BroadBand available near me and they can only offer a maximum of 18mbps download and max 2mbps upload. Horrendous but manageable. You can imagine the delight of the house now with this device.

Excellent service so far. Quick and easy change over from EE, who do not, in my opinion, look after loyal customers. Any information I need or want is an email away thanks to the amazing Cuckoo staff. Speeds are great, router is fantastic. I was without internet on the go live day for a total of one hour. I think that's pretty amazing. Speedtest by Ookla states it's talktalk broadband, but we all know they couldn't even come close to Cuckoo, both in terms of value and customer support. Keep up the great work.
