Review of The Good Soap

Fabulous-smelling moisturiser bars

I found this company by googling them then thought I’d give them a try. I ordered body scrub, soap and moisturiser bar (trying to use less plastic). The scrub and soap are wonderful and smell delightful too. The moisturiser WAS wonderful and smelled absolutely incredible (lemongrass) for the few days I got to use it until my sodding dog decided it was too nice-smelling and managed to eat it. Now not only do I not have a face moisturiser but my dog’s excretions smell weirdly appetising which is all sorts of confusing. It obviously smelled so good that she was able to open the door into my bedroom (which was firmly closed!), jump up to my dresser and pull down half the items sitting on top (I can only hope they hurt as they fell) until she managed to reach the moisturiser which was in its wrapping in a tin. I will definitely be ordering another and will keep it in a locked box on the top shelf to avoid a repeat.

Review of Nöa and Nani

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Very disappointing.

We ordered a bed for our daughter's birthday and got an email the following day saying it had been dispatched. A couple of days later we got an email saying they couldn't deliver directly to us because of our postcode. It says on the website and all the listing that they deliver to all mainland UK addresses which is what we are. They explained that they don't deliver to Highland postcodes (we're about 100 miles away from the Highlands, just north of Edinburgh) because it means their courier service would have to use their "freight forwarding" service and would 'significantly increase the risk of damage' to the bed. The email explained that the goods would 'probably arrived damaged' and they they wouldn't necessarily replace damaged items, it would need to be photographed and sent to their claims department and they'd need to see if they had it in stock, which they might not have.

My friend then contacted them anonymously to ask if they would deliver to Edinburgh, which is about 15 minutes south of us, and was told that was no problem at all. We're just off he M90, not near the Highlands at all yet this was apparently too far to go.

The email said that they explained they couldn't deliver to Highlands and Islands in all their listing, which it does. My issue is that we don't live in the Highlands or islands, we're a mainland UK address. So our options were to risk it and see if they do arrived damaged and possibly not be able to have them replaced or to cancel the order for a full refund, which could take up to 10 days to go back into our account, by which time it would be too late to order one from somewhere else for her birthday.

We had planned to get one for our son too who had been battling cancer for the last 8 months (which is why we wanted to get them something special, it's been a difficult year!) but we'll be sourcing that elsewhere too.

Not at all impressed with the service from Noa and Nani and the courier service is an absolute joke. I've never heard of such a ridiculous service, not being able to deliver something because it would 'probably get damaged'. That would suggest the courier service doesn't know how to do their jobs properly and after reading some of the other reviews, this would appear to be the case. I won't be using them again.
