Avoid these thieving scammers!!
Where to begin?? I found Dreams Garden Rooms online - they had a professional looking website with pictures and all the rest of it so decided to go with them for my garden office. I spoke to Danny Foulds on the phone, all very professional initially going through the spec list and all of the things I wanted on my build. They then asked for a £1,250 deposit. Fine, no worries, but I wanted to pay via credit card to protect myself. This seemed to make them edgy and insisted that wasn't possible, before eventually relenting and letting me pay by credit card. My build was due 2 months later.
The first sign that all was not well was when I tried to get back in contact with Danny 3 weeks later as I wanted to change the spec. The phone number on the website no longer worked, nor did his mobile number. I sent many unanswered emails also. I eventually tracked him down and his excuse was that they had moved offices and had no phone number for a short period (complete nonsense as even now months later it doesn't work). Either way he promised me he would be there on August 11th to start my build. Of course August 11th came and past with nobody turning up, and still I could not get hold of them. Now panicking I wanted to get my deposit back. Weeks and weeks of trying past when suddenly out of the blue Danny calls me and says he can start my build on Monday....but the price has gone up by £500.....I don't think so mate. He then "agree's" to come the following Monday at the previously agreed price. Yet again nobody turns up and Danny and his scummy little company have vanished into thin air. Please please do not give them any of your hard earned cash as you will never see it again - they are here only to rip you off, steal your deposit and then never turn up to do any work. If a deal seems too good to be true then it usually is - go with someone slightly more expensive who will actually do the work and won't rob you.
