Dear Esso.
You need to choose your partners carefully. Motor Fuel Group have decided to spoil a pretty little Oxfordshire village with a 7m high illuminated Esso sign that now burns through our windows 24 hours.
As it’s the Esso logo that is nicely reflected on my sons bedroom wall while he studied for exams it seems fair to give you some feedback.

I am not surprised that MFG don’t care about our little village, opening 24 hours and ignoring planning restrictions. They don’t even publish corporate social responsibility but mention profit many times on their web site. But I would hope you see that upsetting customers is not good business or responsible ?

Shameful business who seem to put profits ahead of communities. One size fits all mentality means that they are happy to ignore planning restrictions and pop a 6.5m lit sign in an Oxfordshire village spoiling the setting of this pretty little village. Listed buildings and rural settings simply ignored.
I guess they just have a budget for fines as they seem to not care about councils requests to stop making deliveries in the middle of the night. Regard for kids sleeping in houses adjacent are met with shrug and the explanation that it’s head offices mandate.
Shameful !
Please consider investing elsewhere with companies who have ethics !
