Signed up for a quick look

Signed up for a quick look, and initially i was like "This is alright, i might come back to this when i have more time"

Before i'd even had a chance to jump back on what proceeded was multiple phone calls, 3 of which were unanswered, but by the 4th i'd assumed it'd be something important so i answered.

It was Fortrade, and despite me saying on the phone not really interested and no time, they still tried to talk over me.

Unsolicitied phone calls have to be the worst sales tactic you can employ in todays standards.

No idea why or who thought it would be a good idea to start harrassing customers the moment they signed up, but that's enough to put me off ever coming back.

Anyone would think they're paid on how many clients picked up that day.. thats how desperate it felt.

A big NOPE from me.

P.S - Trading212 seem to have an appropriate level of communication, no phone calls and the odd informative email now and again, nothing like what was experienced here.

Reply from Fortrade

Dear Mr Smith,

We’re genuinely sorry that our follow-up calls felt intrusive and ignored your request to be left in peace. That is not the standard of respectful, permission-based contact we set for ourselves. If you reply to Trustpilot’s information request with the phone number or email you used to register, we will immediately remove your details from every calling list and review the call records involved to understand why your “not interested” response was not respected. Your feedback also makes it clear that our initial call cadence feels too aggressive, so we are already revising both the frequency and tone of first-time outreach to ensure people can explore the platform on their own terms.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and giving us the opportunity to put things right.

Kind regards,
Fortrade
