Seamless shopping experience

Was skeptical about ordering from here but after seeing positive reviews on social media I decided to give it a shot. I wasn't disappointed - despite coming from India the delivery took less than a week, I could track it end to end, and it was updated with any delays promptly (which there was only one, it got delivered later than the specified timeslot). Luckily, I had ordered a lengha for my engagement in a few months so this wasn't an issue. The lengha itself is stunning, really good quality and I love how it looks. Lashkara have a great selection of really pretty outfits for all occasions that feel and look expensive for a decent price. Highly recommend

Review of The Couture Club

Appalling customer service. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

I'm not one to write negative reviews as a former customer service advisor, I know how difficult it can get but my experience with the Customer Service at The Couture Club was very shocking and left me feeling very upset. Charlotte, the Customer Services Manager is who I spoke to and she was very unprofessional, rude, and unfair throughout my conversations with her on their Live Chat and email.

I was enquiring as to why an order I had returned was sent back to me. Charlotte explained that it was received outside of the 14-day return policy so was rejected. However, she mentioned a 28-day return period (for an exchange to a gift card instead of a refund) that is not stated on the website but is sometimes done out of goodwill and choice. (I reiterated my understanding of this on multiple occasions during our exchange, but she kept repeating that I was too late even though it was out of my control, as explained below.)

I looked into previous emails detailing when I returned the item and when I had received it. I found out it was returned by myself well within the 28 day period on the 1st of June, so it had a total of 10 days to be collected and received by them. Charlotte advised that it had not been processed or recieved until 23rd of June which is out of both refund and gift card periods. I explained to her that while I now understood that I am no longer entitled to a refund, considering I did EVERYTHING in my control to return it before the end of the 28 day window, surely it is not my fault that it was not received until the 23rd? There is no way I could have sped up the time between 1/06/23 and 23/06/23, as far as I knew, the return had been collected and was being shipped successfully well before the 23rd.

She previously mentioned sometimes a gift card is issued based on choice and goodwill, so I asked her why this couldn't be done considering everything was so out of my control and I did everything I could. She proceeded to rudely reply stating information I already stated I understood repeatedly, refusing to acknowledge how it was not in fact my fault.

My question is why dangle the chance of a gift card out of the goodwill she obviously doesn't have if she knew she was never going to issue the giftcard anyway????

This is the worst brand experience I have EVER had and I'm very upset and anxious as a result. Don't shop here and don't bother contacting their customer service as you won't be listened to, and you'll be treated poorly.

I first would like to apologise that the outcome received has not been resolved the way you were hoping for.

However after further investigation regarding this query, i can see that your returned items were received outside of our returns policy/terms and conditions by a considerable amount therefore these items were rejected and sent back to you by our returns team.

Your order was placed on the 12th May and delivered to you the next working day being the 13th May. As we offer a returns period of 14 days from the date your parcel is delivered, you had until the 27th May to have this order returned and received back with us however you have stated in the above response that you didn't return your items until the 1st June which was already 5 days outside of our returns policy before even receiving this parcel back.

I again apologise that this was not the outcome you were hoping for however if you would like to discuss this any further please email customer.services@thecoutureclub.co.uk and we will be more than happy to help.

Love them but…

Very fast delivery so worth the price for sure. I ordered some women's jeans which fit me really great, I'm very pleased as I have an unusual body shape and it usually is difficult for me to find well fitting jeans where it fits my smaller waist but bigger bum/hips. However the quality of the jeans I expected to be better for the price I paid, I've had similar quality from PLT and better quality from Primark, however it does the trick for the look I was after. Also I would also prefer if they offered a returns service at the very least and if it was free because a lot of people order multiple sizes.

Quick & easy and lovely staff in store.

It was quick, easy and efficient. I visited a store as well as shopping online, and for someone who’s always been very nervous to visit to buy pleasure products for myself, the sales assistants are always so welcoming and ready to help, and are non judgemental. Made me feel at ease instantly.

Fast delivery but left package unattended on doorstep

It was a quick and efficient delivery. I have no issues other than the package was left on my doorstep unattended and they were driving off when I opened the door. Had I not heard them knock it would’ve been left out for ages at risk of being stolen or damaged. Other than that I was happy.

Love the clothes themselves but some quality issues

I loved everything I bought although the black strappy jumpsuit I bought is poor quality, very thin and see through, also not for the short ladies. I also bought a maxi shacket which was so nice on but it did smell a bit like cigarette smoke and as if someone else tried to wash it. Easily fixable but I saw it first should check before selling it on. Overall I love everything, really nice styles you can’t find anywhere else, very versatile pieces and very affordable, love the constant offers. Student friendly.

Really good quality and nice designs

Really good quality and nice designs. However the vip credit system i find unreliable and misleading. The customer service team took a while to understand what the problem was when contacting them about not being able to use my credits. But got there in the end.
