The timber had handling damage and large areas of soiling, it was meant to be superior final finish grade.
Returned for replacement without issue but it was inconvenient and time consuming

I had an issue with a plane blade I bought several months ago and just come to use. Fast no hassle action from Rutland customer services (Matt) to sort it out. Very impressive, very happy customer.

Everything arrived on time, the contents were in good order, the packaging was quite badly damaged. I guess it did it's job.

It pains me to leave such a review but I've been hugely disappointed with the service from Workshop Heaven. I bought a number of tools, one of which arrived damaged and bent. I noticed it immediate, disappointing that the person dispatching it didn't but hey, we are all busy and issues happen. I contacted them and.......nothing. I followed up a week later and was promised a replacement and returns label would be sent that day, and the replacement would be checked before shipping. A week and a half passed and.....again nothing. I followed up and coincidentally they were just packing it for dispatch that day ;-) I confirmed that it would be checked before dispatch and left it there. Two days later the replacement arrived......it was bent. Not as bad as the first one, which I've returned at some hassle to myself, and I sent another note to say I was still not happy but needed to use it as I had a project to get on with. No response as yet nearly a week later. So disappointing, not even an apology. It looks like I'll be sticking to Axminster and Rutlands in future and their excellent service when things go awry.

Usual good service except one item not delivered. When I chased it they cancelled the item, refunded and blamed it on a "stocking error". Frustrating.

Fast delivery, packaging inside parcel were coming apart but giving as pressies so no issue for me. Otherwise would have been 5 star
