Hi Kevin, sorry to hear you had problems with installing our lenses and marked them. I'm not completely sure what happened but we can help.
With Metal frames like yours it's very important to try and follow our instructional videos. If you just slightly loosen the frame enclosure, which are screws on the underside of the frame near the hinge, you can easily slide in the new lenses without damaging them. We would suggest you do not completely undo the screws. Just about 3 turns in all that's required to easily get out the damaged lenses and put in the new ones.
That way you avoid scratching or pulling off the polarization layer of the lens on insert.
I will have someone contact you from our customer care team to help identify what happened and what we can do to resolve the issue for you.
While we don't work with glass due to safety, weight and breakage issues our lenses are comparable in many ways. The have very similar optical properties and are durable. That said, damage during installation can happen. We'll do our best to get your sunnies up and running properly and sorry about the inconvenience
