How awful can one company be? Data breach.
Ive been with 02 for years with no issues at all. Their website update caused all my product details to be removed from my account. No access to my device or airtime plan but i could get into my account..I wanted to pay off my device plan but could not get my details. O2 app useless. Can't even get in.
Raised issue on phone. Call centre operative could not comprehend the issue. I wanted to pay off my device plan. Got through to.almost paying and operative said their system was down. Told me my account issue was rectified and it was probably my new e-mail, you know the one I'd had for 10 years with them! The error had not been rectified.
Contacted o2 via FB messenger. TBF, they did try to get my details back and I spend ages,over the course of two days, communicating with them. They admitted, in writing, on messenger that my products had been "allocated to a new user name", but wouldn't tell me whose because of their 'data protection'. What a joke. Someone else has access to my data and maybe bank details? Could not resolve my issue.
E-mailed o2 complaints about data breach. Heard nothing back.
Phoned again and relayed my complaint and also managed to.pay off my device plan. Was told a receipt would be e-mailed in 24 hours. 5 days on.. nothing.
Got a text message with a link saying it would re-set my account. Link did not work, in fact its completely locked me out of my account now.
I left them today, thank goodness.
ICO letter on its way.
