Prepare for Leasing Vehicle Return Bills

Leased an S90, got rinsed by Volvo upon return.

I was happy with the vehicle, which served me well for almost two years, bar a couple of minor electrical issues. Sadly Volvo's leasing rules are designed to maximise profit for the group and thus a bill was drawn up for window stone chip (£45), under carriage scuff (£90) and even a door re-buff (£170) because Volvo leasing were 'unsatisfied' with the work that was achieved by an ex-Volvo body repairer following a minor door dent. My photo's suggest the door quality issues are unfounded, but good luck challenging them. Would not lease from Volvo again.

Sold after the second attempt. I wouldn't choose to use again to sell my house.

We sold through Purple Bricks in Feb 2016. They advertised a service with a dedicated agent that was available to support you at every stage which helped us make our decision. We firstly had some viewings which we did ourselves and I actually quite enjoyed doing them. We got a number of offers through the viewings, one of whom was recommended by our Purple Bricks agent. We ended up selling to them well above the asking price which was great. It then turned out that the buyer hadn't been qualified by the agent and wasn't unable to even get a mortgage for our property so the whole thing was a massive waste of weeks of our time. We ended up going to the second buyer who now offered us less because they knew we had now found another property.

From the point at which we gave Purple Bricks a 7/10 on their own internal reviewing system, I feel as though we were no longer a priority and had some calls go unreturned when we could have really used them to support us through the sale and give us crucial advice. Would I use them again? No probably not and I suggest that if you are newer to the process of selling houses, you stick to a more traditional agent. I feel I would have got a better price for my property if I had gone through a normal estate agent as they have an incentive to achieve the best possible price. On the plus side, their online system is clear and fairly easy to use (although we still had to call their call centre on occasion). We also did a viewing on another property which was being sold through Purple Bricks which was pretty dire; the PB agent was on time but I'm afraid that's the best I could say about the experience.
